Re: Running Free

<snippetty snip snip>
Micky stared at the locked door of the medi-bay wondering how he was going to
get out, when a nurse walked in from the outside, clearly unaware that Micky had
been locked in on purpose. She was around his height with long blonde hair.
Micky thought he recognised her from somewhere, like a memory from a dream, but
he had no idea where. She gave him a quick smile and nodded to him as she went
about whatever she was meant to be doing.
'That was lucky,' Micky thought to himself and dashed out the door and off
toward the flight deck.
Surely somebody else was planning a quick trip to pleasure-town.
Micky intended to tag along and get himself some action too.

Who: Efof and Micky
Where: Blue Dwarf, Promenade
When: After Micky escaped
Micky stuck to the shadows, he didn't want to get spotted by any of the Security
Guards who would recognise him and send him back to the medibay.
"Hi Micky!" Said a cheerful voice next to him. He turned to see a blue alien
with a beaming smile on his face.
"Efof." Micky said, and grimaced at the alien's chirpyness. "I'm not in the mood
for your sickening optimism." Micky said.
"Oh? But it's a beautiful day! I'm joust going to go get some banoffee pie. Want
to come with me? I just luuurve banoffee pie! I think it's my favourite Human
food..."
"Efof quiet." Micky ordered.
"Why?"
"I'm trying to keep a low profile here. The guards..."
"Oh don't be silly." Efof said and grabbed him by the arm and through the
Promenade. "Nobody will hurt you here. When I first came on the Blue Dwarf I
thought it was a weird and alien place, I felt homesick, and was generally
repulsed by Humans, and their silly desire to get pissed and puke everywhere.
Now I really like it!" He said. "Mind that puke!" He called out, and Micky
sidestepped it.
"So where have you been for the last few months?" Efof said.
"It's been more than a few months for me." Micky said, with the images of
fifteen long hard years reflecting in his tired eyes.
"Oh I see." Said Efof, getting serious. "Like the opposite of me, when I was in
stasis for 1000 years after my planet was destroyed, my family and friends
brutally killed and eaten, but for me it felt like a only few seconds."
Mike nodded sullenly. "I've seen so much... done so much.... fifteen years has
passed, but for you... you've barely missed me."
Efof grinned and bounced up and down a few times. "I've missed you. Do you need
a hug?"
Micky held the blue alien at arms length. "No. I'm fine thanks."
"So where are you going?" Efof asked.
"To Fourth station." Micky replied with conviction.
Efof exhaled through pursed lips. "Oooh. Well Jay, I mean the Captain, told us
to not go there."
Micky shrugged his shoulders, and the corner of his mouth lifted up into a wry
smile. "Come with me."
"Oh, I... would but...." Efof said. "Uhh... I shouldn't."
"They have exotic dancers." Mickey said.
"Ummmm.... no. Well, Jay said we shouldn't...."
"They have Ffionian pole dancers." Micky said.
"Oooohhhh... Although Ffionian girls are nuts. The last one I dated tried to
kill me. But still.... sounds appealing.... But no. I don't want to piss of Jay,
I mean the Captain."
"I hear they have a shop that sells the best banoffee pie in the galaxy."
"The shuttle bay is this way." Efof said. "I'll drive." He swung the keys to a
Starbug around in his finger.
"Good boy!" Said Micky, to his gullible pet Ffionian.
20 minutes later they were flying in a Starbug towards Fourth Base.
<OOC – Mike, care to write what happens after we land at the station? Is there a
strip-search at Customs? >
