The Devil Inside

A sigh, and a short womanly scream as everything went quiet. For a second, Yasmin half-expected that Eve girl to start talking again, but no such luck.

"What happened?" Seymour moaned, going for another gulp of whiskey.

"I don't know," was all she could think to say.

An ominously evil-sounding boom of a voice echoed all around them, shattering the silence.

"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!"

Evelina was sitting down on the mesh metal floor with her hands covering her face in fear of the spear that was about to run her through. When nothing happened she slowly looked up and saw Jaxx in front of her. She couldn't see his face since his back was to her but she knew right away what he had done. Evelina could see a red liquid dripping down on the floor in front of Jaxx. She was deeply concerned as she slowly touched Jaxx on the back and whispered, "Jaxx?" Jaxx stood still as he muttered, "Are you hurt Eve babe?"

Evelina knew something was wrong by the strain on Jaxx's voice. She was now nervous by Jaxx's behavior and the blood that was dripping in front of him. Evelina muttered, "I'm ok Jaxx. Are you ok?" Jaxx was now breathing hard as he muttered, "I'm ok Eve babe, but I am stuck." Eve slowly crawled around Jaxx to see what had happened. There stood Jaxx facing a large motionless retractable spear that had just penetrated his left forearm and was now stuck. Evelina tried to comfort Jaxx as she yelled for help, but Jaxx was beginning to drift off. All the sounds around him were becoming more and more distant. Jaxx was feeling comfortably numb as his vision was now fading.

Suddenly he felt a painful shock in his body. The shock made Jaxx's body spaz a little. In Jaxx's mind he was floating in darkness, but he knew he was not alone. He could feel something bad getting closer and closer as it circled him. As Jaxx focused his eyes he was able to make out two glowing blue eyes and a lot of blue triangular teeth on the creature that was circulating him. Suddenly the creature attacked him and everything went black in his mind.

Jaxx let out a monstrous scream as he flexed his muscles and ripped out the spear on the wall while it was still in his arm. Evelina saw Jaxx's eyes were now black as he raged on and smashed the remaining obstacles in his path till he came to the end. As Jaxx saw there were no more walls attacking him he dropped to his knees and then passed out on the floor. Evelina quickly ran to Jaxx as he fell and called for help as his blood continued to drain onto the floor.
