The Master Monk

In actual fact, it took another twenty minutes of almost constant carping and moaning before the nose of command module scraped the bed rock in the shallows of the beach and a relieved Cass and Jay emerged to wade the last few metres through the surf to join an exhausted Jaxx on the golden sands.
"So, like, what's the plan dudes?" Jaxx asked between gasping breaths
"I think we should make our way back to the old crash site" Jay said "We need supplies, we know where it is and, chances are, it'll probably be closer than treking back around the bay towards where we need to be"
"It seems nonsensical to head in the opposite direction to both where we need to be and where everyone else is" Cass grumbled "but we do need supplies - We haven't even got a first aid kit here" she wrinkled her nose and absently stirred her fingers around in the warm sand "I don't know why I even bothered packing"
"Because you're an optimist" Jay teased "It's one of the things I like about you"
"Damn right" Cass settled back and took a deep breath of the hot, humid air; her nausea slow to subside "Don't you forget it"
She paused to glance at him out of the corner of her eyes "I've loads of other good points too..."
"Uh, I, like, hate to break up whatever it is you're on about..." Jaxx started, somewhat perplexed at the cut and thrust of their verbal sparring
"Oh, is that right Ms. Jones?" Jay raised his eyebrows "So what good points would these be?"
"Charm, wit, poise, elegance" Cass tossed her short hair as well as she was able as she smoothed her hands down over her cargo pants "Not letting you get away with having your own way all the time..."
"No, really" Jaxx insisted "Guys..."
"What?" Cass and Jay both demanded in unison
"There's a really big... thing over there in the bushes..."
What is the thing?

As Jaxx was pointing towards the thing in the bushes when two large triceratops being ridden by two rather scary looking blue Haruk busted through the brush and surrounded the Dwarfers. The exhausted Jaxx slung one arm out of his backpack and reached in to fetch his chains before slinging his pack on again. Jaxx was about to asked Jay what to do when Frank spoke to him telepathically, “Oceans to Murgatroyd even, why are you so quick to fight my dear boy?” Jaxx though, “But these dudes are totally intense Franky and they totally killed Davie.” Franky thought, “My dear sweet apprentice had you studied your diplomatic lessons you could avoided such violence.” Jaxx thought, “Then like what do you suggest Franky dude?” Franky thought, “Oceans to Murgatroyd even, let me have control of your body for a bit and I’ll show you how it’s done even.” Jaxx sighed, “As he said, “Alright Franky dude, show me what to do.” Jaxx’s words sounded confusing to Jay and Cass since it looked like he was talking to himself.

In a small instant Jaxx closed his eyes and then opened them as Franky had control of his body. Franky looked around and quickly looked at his body as he smiled. The Haruk on the triceratops then spoke in their rough brutish language as they pointed their spears at the Dwarfers. Franky/Jaxx then struck a feminine pose as he put his hand on his waist and said, “Oceans to Murgatroyd even, you fellas are so tense. How about you relax those tens shoulders a bit.” The Haruk looked at Franky/Jaxx oddly as they spoke again. Franky/Jaxx looked at Jay and Cass who were confused by what Jaxx was doing and smiled as he said, “Relax even Mr. Chrysler and Ms. Jones. I’m just borrowing my student’s body till I can get a new one even. By the way I don’t think we have been formally introduced even. My dear student has such poor manners even, but I guess it can’t be helped since his mind is so empty even. Any who, these two big brutes want to know who we are and what our business is.”

Franky/Jaxx smiled as he spoke the language of the Haruk back while doing feminine gestures. Then Franky/Jaxx said, “Oceans to Murgatroyd even, I told them I would translate for you. I am so sure you’re wondering how can this ravishing creature know such a language in a short time right even? Well my dear kiddos my race is telepathic so language is but a small obstacle even, especially for someone who has been around as long as I have. So what did you want to tell them?”
