**Mini-Action** - "Robot Wars, Episode One : The holy smegging REAL
Flight deck
Almost a week after the competition was scheduled
Commander Smegg stepped up to the announcer's platform with microphone in hand and sunglasses on face. The senior staff and some of the crew of the ship was crowded into the flight bay eager to watch the competition. "Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen, to the JMC Mining Ship Blue Dwarf's first ever Robot Wars Re-Creation!" Smegg hit a switch and on came the "boss select" music from "Mega Man." The crowd cheered. Except for a few malcontent RW purists who said this is not at all like the intro to the REAL Robot Wars. But nobody paid much attention to them. "Today," Smegg continued, "you will witness a battle of EXTREME proportions between ten robots of INCREDIBLE strength, speed, and toughness." The crowd cheered again. "Nemesis! Or Die Trying! The Schweebler! tEMPtation! The Swarm!" As Smegg announced the robots they proceeded out with their owners. "Antibot! Kamikaze! Ointmentator II! Black Box! And finally, Armorzilla!" The crowd cheered. Phil FeBuggure was seen to slip away from the rest of Team Kamikaze and head for an exit. "And today... of those robots... NINE! MUST! FALL!!!" The crowd cheered even louder.
"And now, let me introduce your host, thankfully no one's hero or uncle, DAVE LISTER!"
A hologram of a shortish, dark-skinned guy with long braided hair* pushed through the crowd, came up to the platform, and took the microphone. "Thank yeh very much fer the 'heartwarming' introduction. Now, are you ready to RUMBLE!!!"
The crowd cheered the loudest ever.
"Then let the battle begin!"
