At the party
 
After the promotions were handed out, the party continued in full swing.
Seymour found the new crewmember called Frank Banshee and the two started enjoying a few drinks. The commander promised to give the newbie a tour when the next time he could focus properly.
 
The party seemed to be going quite well, unfortunately the newly promoted Ensign Harbinger seemed to have dissapeared, but nobody seemed to notice as a new guy with a t-shirt saying "kevin".
 
After sharing a few drunken mutterings with Banshee, Niples toured the dance floor to find someone else to talk to.
As he marched through the crowd, people barged into him- mainly dancing couples who seemed to be having a lot more fun than he was. He muttered in annoyance and left them to have 'fun'.
 
Then he saw her.
 
The most gorgeous girl in the crowd, Penny Lloyd. He'd had his eye on her for quite some time now, and he'd come so close to asking her out.
He thought back on the past events, that time when she talked to him in his office.
That time when she knocked him out of the way of a marouding insect on the planet Ffion last week.
 
Yes, they were practically married.
 
He heard the voices in his head as he watched her swing her hair in slow motion. The soft music drowning out the shitty techno stuff that the DJ was playing.
The voices told him to go to her, to talk to her, to call her name, to tell her how he felt.
The voices were getting stronger....
The voices in his head.....
 
Actually the voices weren't in his head, Steev was stood behind him having a laugh and whispering into his ear.
 
He started walking over to her...only to be beaten by another guy. It was that guy with six arms and the funny nose from the away mission. Niples still wasn't sure why this guy was on the ship, and who the hell he was. But he'd been too busy lately anyway, especially as the reports had just come in from science and medical that the giant 'bugs' from Ffion weren't in fact alien at all, they were created by humans.
 
And Niples had been so close to proving that aliens existed, now where was he going to find an alien?
 
Anyway, back to the plot. The guy called Efof started talking to the gorgeous Penny Lloyd, Seymour could only wach in horror as his future wife (although she didn't know it yet) was being chatted up and danced at by another bloke.
 
Seymour sighed and sulked out of the room. Kicking at the randomly dropped paper cups that lined the floor. If she'd only take notice of him.....
 
A few seconds later, Penny punched Efof on the "nose".
 
Unfortunately, Niples was already out of the room and moping down the corridor at that time.
 
Penny Lloyd sighed. Why was it only the goofballs who came up to her? She wanted someone special, someone who could take her away from this madness.
 
Niples found his way into his quarters and slipped into bed, alone.
 
(OOC- Awwwww, poor old Niples! Everyone can continue to the next day after the party if you havn't already done so. Maybe some one will wake up in an unfamilliar bed, or locker?)
