DareDevil- The Surgeon Years

Who: Coffey, Keto, Tree, Shakespeare.
Where: Medibay
When: /me mutters something inaudible.
----------------------

Shakespeare stood in the centre of the medibay, perfectly still.  The medibay was silent.  Keto was in his
office, filling out a report.  Cleavage had disappeared off to some mission and Wildflower hadn't been seen
in months.  Coffey and the tree however, were hiding.

"I shall find thou'st both with myne new extrath sensory'st perception hearings't!" Shakespeare claimed,
raising a hand.  He listened, carefully and focussed all his attention to the sounds around his head.  He was
midly surprised when nothing happened.

He bretahed in and out a few more times and concentrated, filtering the noises into his mind in a single
positive stream.  He supressed a gasp as for the first time he managed to serparte the background noise
as distinct entities.  He could hear the air conditioning unit humming, almost silently.  He could hear the
tapping of Keto's fingers on the keyboard keys.

His head twitched as he picked up a faint, almost unnoticeable rustling comign from the left.  He raised a
hand and moved it back and forth till he was certain that he was pointing directly at the source.

"I hear'st that tree!  Thous't are there!" he stated, his fingers pointing right at the tree.  the tree jumped
up and did a small appreciative dance.

*rustle-rustle*

"Thank'st thou, my dear foliage, but now'st I musteth find myne dear Hazel," he mused.

It would be tough to rely on hearing, he'd need to pinpoint her breathing.  However, he did have another
sense that could be useful.  His smell.  Hazel always wore that distinctive perfume, the one that smelled like
roses on a warm summer's day.  He inhaled deeply, his nose picking up the scent almost immediately.

He turned his head to where the scent was trongest and began listening for the steady breathing of his
love.  He concentrated, harder than he ever had, and just as he'd done with the rsutling, he picked up the
slight movement of someone's chest.

"Hazel' I can'st hear thou," he said, walking towards the source.

"Wait!" shouted Coffey, standing up from her spot.

There was a crash and a muffled ouch as Shakespeare collided with a medical table.

"We'll have to clean up around here," she said thoughtfully.
