Niples "Dull Christmas"

First officer's office
Stardate 23.12.2100
"YOU DID WHAT!!!!!" shouted Commander Niples at Major Harris. A minute earlier, Harris had marched into the commanders office with two armed redshirts in full combat gear beside him to give him a full battle report.
Now Commander Niples was the most angry he had ever been in his life. He was going to be upset later, but anger was good for the time-being.
"HOW COULD YOU LET PENNY LLOYD GET KILLED?!" shouted Niples again. harris was actually quite impressed that the officer had the courage to stand up to him, but his stern exterior didn't show it.
"With all due respect sir," growled Harris. "we let a few other crewmwn did too. Kieran Loes, Sam Youn, Death wis...."
Niples cut him off mid sentance, "I dont care- the fact of the matter is that we lost a nice.... a good security officer. She was important to m... to the ship. This is just not tolerable!"
Niples sat down at his desk again to think things over, then realised that he hadn't quite finished shouting at Harris. Thinking of something else to bawl at him for, he came up with nothing so shouted "DISMISSED!" at him instead.
Harris, and his two security officers walked out of the office.
Niples decided he needed to sulk for a bit and so walked down the promenade. As the engines hadn't been repaired yet, the ship seemed to be colder than usual. Seymour walked quietly, his hands in his pockets down the icy metallic streets, past the parrots bar, past Mckenzys shop. Even the tacky christmas decorations that seemed to have sprung up overnight didn't make him feel any happier.
As well as loosing the one major crush of his life, he also had to find a new pilot to replace Nav officer Kieran Loes, and plan the funeral for the deceased crewmembers from the away mission.
This was probably going to be a very dull Christmas.
