Being cooperative

Gareth wasn't a fan of the idea of letting the soldier be a part of their small group, but seeing that he didn't have a choice he had to at least try to seem a little cooperative.

Slightly encouraged by the fact that Ceriden had returned, and counting on him to protect his back in case anything were to happen, Gareth took a slight step forward "Uhm... I could carry the armour if you want to. Then it would be possible to use it later if needed and the weight of it won't be slowing me down.". He might not know excatly how heavy the armour was, but it was highly unlikely that it would cause him any problems. Of the three of the he knew he physically were the strongest so it was only logical if he were the one to carry it.

By offering his help in this way he hoped to gain some of Ponce's trust, thereby hopefully reducing the risk of him attacking if he were to get the oppotunity.
