Shame/Regret

Gareth almost couldn't hold himself back when he finally was allowed to feed on the spy, but that excitement was soon killed by Ceriden. Ashamed of himself he looked down "I understand.. I promise it won't be as messy as last time. It is much easier to drink from a human than a large animal.". He then continued "And.. I will try only to take a little blood...". This however was going to be a hard promise to keep. Being as hungry as he was he knew it wouldn't be enough to satiate his thirst for long even if he'd been allowed to drink it all. Furthermore, he'd hoped that he could have had some of the meat aswell, but that would probably be a no go too, and he didn't want to ask only to see the disgust on Ceridens face.

As Ceriden started to examine the book, Gareth looked a little at the unconscious spy on the ground. He hesitated, but then turned around and took a few steps away. It was proably best to wait so Ceriden would have a chance to use him for his experiments, in case he couldn't stop. In the effort to try and think of something else he started to pace back and forth without looking at the spy at all, just waiting until Ceriden would be ready to leave.

Further into the forest Sabina had stopped the horse. She felt completely lost and had no idea of where to go or what to do.

She had failed in every possible way; the book was gone, her love still dead and now she didn't even know where she was. Looking up, she started to regret having left Ceriden and Gareth. They might have betrayed her and were both a little scary, but together with them she would at least have had a chance of getting out of this forest alive.
