Valade Bath House

-Dalen Capital, Valade house, Around Noon, 2 DSTR-
The Valade bath house was palatial, tall pillars of alabaster and fine brass features polished to a mirror shine. Statues of women bathing and tile mosaics of people bathing in streams and waterfalls. The place was magnificent. The water steamed and smelled of herbs and bath salts.

His bath house at the vineyard was very different. A wooden structure over what was made to look like a garden with a natural spring in it. He always thought it was something special, until he saw how Kalena lived.

He stopped at the washing station and washed his body, scrubbing the dirt and filth from his skin. He drew the rough sponge over his thick arms, letting the soap and water clean the muscular limbs. His skin was bronzed by the sun, so the only notion that dirt was washing off was the color of the water. Standing at the waist high waterfall, he collected some water in a bucket and dumped it over his chest, scrubbing up and washing out the filth of the road and the stink of a man who had been in armor all day. His chiseled chest was marked with scars and rewards of battled fought since he was young, the muscular frame marred here and there where a sword or arrow was able to make it through and magical healing was not close at hand.

Kline sunk down into the water across the way from Lafayette. He was getting his hair washed by two of her maids. It looked like it was quite a chore, but one he was enjoying them doing. He lowered his naked body into the water until he was in up to his chin. The warm water enveloping him, wrapping around him in comfort and warmth.

He let the hot water ease out the ride and tension of the day. He had a great many thoughts going through his head. How was he to deal with this trouble, the money he would earn would pull him out of debt, but then what. He had not thought of his next move, or any past just keeping the people he oversaw fed and safe.

He was not a statesman, this much he had to admit, but he was not going to give up.
