Settling In And Making Friends

Mar nodded. "I am. Now let's go." He then regarded Carla climbing onto Serenity's shoulder with a smile. "We'll find an inn with a couple rooms available so we can get some rest."

Mira nodded and gestured for Ghost to follow. Keran hopped onto her shoulder and remained silent as the trio went to see the dealers.

The inn Mar and Serenity eventually decided on was more modest than most, but had enough rooms for everyone and had some decent service options including a shopper droid that could get them anything they wanted short of a ship. Mar was reluctant to use the credit chit that Ryze had provided him, but it was too useful and the goods they were buying were needed. Like food and clean clothes and medicine.

Mar decided to take a bath and relax his aching muscles. The last few fights had left him battered and bruised, and his new arm that Ryze had provided was aching the socket that connected it to his actual arm.

The warm water was soothing and the scented oils helped him relax further. He closed his eyes and soon found himself in a familiar place... a place he wish he'd forget.

Serenity's master lay dead before his feet. Mar stared down at his broken form, and then he saw his eyes open and gaze up at him lifelessly. Then his mouth began to move, words slowly slipping from his pale lips.

"She will never forgive you."

Mar snapped out of the vision, his breathing coming in short gasps. He looked to the mirror on the opposite side of the wall from him and found he couldn't look into it.

"These ships are a bunch of bantha poodoo." Mira sighed in irritation. "We'll be here for several seasons at this rate..." She looked to Keran and hissed through her teeth. "How are they asking that much for a quadjumper?"

"Clearly we will need to think about our options more." Keran said.

Meanwhile, a stranger had approached Ghost. A tall man in a nice suit who seemed to be rather interested in her. "Hello there. My name is Drathoran... and you are a very fascinating young woman. I don't think I've ever met someone like you." He looked to her ears. "Where are you from? If you don't mind my asking?"
