She Saw His Lightsaber

Mar had been in the process of getting out of the tub when Serenity barged in. And realizing he still had a ways to go to get to the towel he opted to dip back into the tub and promptly submerged himself down to his neck, hiding in the water. He looked to Serenity with a look of surprise and confusion.

"Serenity! What're you doing?" He said, blushing slightly.

" master whats wrong i could feel it something dark" she whimpered.

Mar shook his head. "It was... a memory... one I'd like to forget..." He sighed, feeling more naked now than before. "I used to be an Inquisitor, it is a life I often regret, you should know this already..."

He stared at her, wishing he could tell her the truth, tell her that he was the one who ruined her life, but at what cost?

"She will never forgive you..."

He stared at her for what seemed like the longest time. Then suddenly realized she wasn't leaving. "Serenity... do you mind?" He asked, trying not to make note of how exposed he was in spite of the water.

Drathoran flashed a perfect smile. "Mere curiosity, I assure you. I do not mean to cause you distress. I am merely a scout for the current Mandalore... the ruler of this planet and the Mandalorian people... You see Mandalore has struggled to keep the peace on this world since the fall of the Empire. Many Mandalorians have been scattered to the far corners of the galaxy, and more than a few of those do not recognize Mandalore's position as the leader of the Mandalorians. So we have been looking for foundlings and conscripts to bolster the ranks." He looked her over, nodding in approval. "And you do indeed appear to be Mandalorian material."

"Excuse me." Mira butted in. "But you want her to join your army?"

Drathoran shook his head. "Merely consider to join the Mandalorians. Become part of something greater. Rebuild our glory and help bring order and peace to a Galaxy in desperate need of it. After all, the New Republic is still weak as they try to establish themselves. Merely a band of Rebels trying to grow into the power vacuum. With Mandalorians aiding them, the process could go must more swiftly and smoothly..." Drathoran nodded to Mira. "You as well could join the Mandalorians as a conscript and learn The Way."

"You sound desperate." Mira said.

"We are." Drathoran admitted. "We are struggling to unite these rabid dogs who fight to own pieces of our broken world. It is not easy. But if we can imagine what a united Mandalore could do for the Galaxy." Drathoran shrugged. "At the very least, I would ask you to come and visit the palace and see it for yourself before making a decision. What do you say?"
