Blue Flames and Corrupted Wings

Aggie's home
Once Soularous had finished his story, he gotten up to look outside, he couldn't help but smile at the sight of children playing outside, reminding him of his own children back home that he raised, as well as the many others he failed. It hurt him knowing he failed his own blood, oh how Aldous would have beaten his head in if he truly knew. "How can a world at the center be so beautiful, why would anyone seek to destroy it, or even enslave all?"

"A great question child." The Dark One appeared beside him, "Are you ready?" Soularous deeply sighed, "Not really, but I must do this." The Dwarf smiled, "With Incarius defeated, the Nameless will lose his avatar, the crowning is approaching us. With the return of the Anathema, and the defeat of the fallen, we can banish this monster, for good." Soularous nodded, "Let's do this."

The outskirts of Verden
Incarius watched over the burning lands, once he had taken control of Verden, nothing could stop his master, The One, from taking this land, and soon this world. His legion of Burning Knights approached him, taking a knee, they knew by the next morning they would be upon Verden, and nothing can stop them as they conquer it, by the will of the Nameless. Incarius rose to his full height, "My children, rejoice. As the time for this world's reckoning shall be delivered by our hands. We shall take Verden, and with the might of the Iron Willed people, we shall take Aeran. For the One smiles on us today, for we shall bring a new age of Order, peace shall come to our world, and the end of the dark age shall be by our hands. All hail the One, our savior!" He rose his flaming sword to the sky, which was followed by the Burning Knights, cheering, "All Hail the One!"

Thunder crackled, and the sky darkened, only blue lighting being the light, Incarius could only look in disbelief, his old nemesis had arrived, in full form. With a crack of lighting right before Incarius, the flames of the knights dimmed, being snuffed out by the great infernal power before them. As the smoke disappeared, a gigantic dome of gold engulfed the area, celestial runes appear all over the golden dome, bright enough to be seen through the dark clouds. Soularous rose from the crater he created, "Incarius, it is time for this to end." The angel simply nodded, a soft twinkle in his eyes. "Indeed." The King in Blue summoned forth his might weapon, the Sword of Blue, which hummed with great power. The Knights foolishly charged at the mighty demon, however with a simply gesture, their flames were snuffed away. leaving nothing but ash and armor as they collapsed. Soularous sadly looked at his old rival, "Incarius, I know this is not what you wish for. Please, fight this." Incarius looked up to the sky, streaks of gold falling down his face, he faced Soularous, crying. "I can't Soul, it's inside me. I am far from the light. Slay me, for the Gods, for Aeran, for me."

Soularous simply summoned forth his demonic helm, and raised his sword to match Incarius, "As you wish, forgive me, old friend." With a crack of thunder, the two great beings charged at each other. The final battle had begun.
