Tam smiled. "That's great. Don't worry about Serenity, she's a sweet girl and I don't think you'll have a problem getting into her good graces. She'll be understanding if you tell her what's going on."

She resumed driving to the skating rink and found Chris with a crying Serenity being consoled by River. Chris hopped to his feet and ran to Tam, hugging her.

"We had fun, and Serenity's teacher told her mean instructor he was a cunt... what's a cunt?"

"A bad word." Tam said with a shrug as she looked to River and Serenity. "Everything okay?" THen she looked to Kent. "Err... This is Kent... He... Serenity I hate to ask you this but... I don't want to take Chris back home with my dad being... awful... and Kent is in a similar situation with his dad... could we crash at your place maybe?"

Kevin pet Bonnie and sighed. "Kevin, you got a place for as long as you need. I have way too much room as it is and could use some company as it is." He smiled down at Bonnie. "I'm sure Bonnie would love it."
