Can't Stay Mad

Tam continued to study the bruises, nodding, knowing the bruises always healed. The pain stayed though. She just wanted to take every bad thing away and make Kent happy. She looked up at him again, her voice coming in a whisper as she drew closer to him. "Yes?"

Max finally cleaned up the mess Bonnie made and then went to the bag she was hiding in. He smirked, not able to stay mad at the possum for long and tried to coax her out with a bag of cheetos he'd stored in a secret place to keep Kevin from finding them. "Come on. I'm not mad at you anymore."

Veronica sighed. "You are the boy's mother I can't deny you the right to take him. However his sister was the one looking after him all this time."

Renee, "I know. However I can't seem to reach her and Chris does need someone more responsible looking after him."

Veronica might not have known Tam that long, but the girl had the look of someone who was very much responsible. She sighed. "Did you even try to ask us for her contact information? She did leave it with us."

"Oh? How silly of me, I should've known. Then be a dear and call her telling her that her mother is at the hospital to take her brother home."
