An Apology

With a nod, Kent smiled down to his leg. "I'll be sure to do everything I can to follow that." He said, settling a hand on the wrapped up leg. "Remind me to charge my phone when we get back, please? It kind of died."

With a jerk of his thumb, he gestured to the phone sitting at a small table by the bed. It was folded and as dead as can be. "At least I don't have to worry about any annoying calls from my...well, he's not my dad anymore."

He simply shrugged and waited for the discharge papers calmly, enjoying Tam's company.

River giggled and offered Chris some napkins. "You're adorable." She said before patting Serenity on her shoulder. "You're fine."

Yazuhiko gave the blond girl a nod and ate his own ice cream. "We will meet this Monday at the time on your new schedule." He said.

Kevin reluctantly left the bathroom and was surprised to see his mother actually comforting Paul and giving him a cup of tea. "Why does he look so haunted...?" He asked Max, a worried expression on his scarred face.

Paul glanced to Kevin and sighed heavily, rubbing at the back of his neck. "Hey, uhm...look, I want to apologize for what my daughter did. She's...she's done this before and I...I'm going to be sending her somewhere to get help." He tried to explain without actually telling them what all his daughter had done.

Mrs. Andrews, however, had already been told and pat the man's back before standing up. "I'll let you boys talk." She said before going to find her husband.
