Newcomers Are Welcome And He's Scared Of Her

Kent looked to Jonah and Lisa silently, listening to the conversation between the cousins. He had to admit they seemed like a good pair of siblings and he did not mind them being around.

Jonah looked to Kent and nodded. "I can see that." He went over and offered his hand to Kent. "Jonah Gunner, you met my sister already."

Shifting slightly, Kent took Jonah's hand and nodded to him with an awkward smile. It was still strange to have someone walk up and not accuse him of doing some crime or ask what he was up to. This newcomer and his sister were a pleasant surprise, that was for sure. "Just call me Kent." He told the man.

River giggled softly and just sat there with Chris, happy to wait until Serenity and Yazuhiko were done.

The skating instructor frowned at Serenity. "You should think of yourself more often, young lady." He told her before noting the manager looking at them. Taking a moment, he checked the time. "I believe we should get going. This place closes in a few minutes."

Kevin gently set Bonnie and the mouse on the couch and went to check on his parents. Both Mr. and Mrs. Andrews were passed out on the bed in the room Max had provided them. With a soft chuckle he pulled the door closed and returned to his friend. "They kind of passed out, Max." He explained. "Dad has never been good with flights and mom...well, she's probably been as tense as a shotgun ready for shooting since she found out what happened. I'm not surprised they're exhausted."

Returning to the couch, he laid down and let both Bonnie and Jr. crawl onto his chest where they curled up. Staring at the ceiling, the blonde sighed. "You think that Paul guy is gonna be able to handle his daughter? He seemed kind of in a trance when he left, like he was out of it..."

Kevin would not admit it, but he was scared to go out alone at the moment. All he wanted to do was go to work and return home.
