Dinner and Breakfast

Chris happily hugged his sister when she answered the door.

"Did you have a good time?" Tam asked. Chris nodded and smiled in response before yawning and looking to the two strangers standing in the living room.

"Who are they?"

Lisa was the first to respond with a big smile and a wave as she knelt down to Chris's eye level. "We're your cousins, Lisa and Jonah! We heard you got hurt and wanted to come help."

"I don't have cousins," Chris said with a puzzled look.

"Actually you do," Tam replies. "You were just a baby the last time you saw them."

Chris seemed to think about this for a moment before shrugging. "I'm tired and my shoulder hurts. Can I go take a nap?"

Tam chuckled and nodded. "Go on, sweetie."

Lisa just kept smiling. "Aww he's so adorable."

Jonah shrugged and looked to the other two girls who had been flanking Chris at the door. The first was a blonde girl who's clothes suggested money and a demeanor that implied a sheltered life. The other girl, darker in every aspect of the word compared to the blonde, made Jonah pause as he casually studied her. No doubt her reaction to seeing him would only help him suss out that she was wary around men, and upon realizing this he promptly stopped staring at her and would continue, for the rest of this conversation, to give the girl as much space as she felt she needed before she retreated to her home.

"These your friends?" Lisa asked as she waved to them. "Hi! I'm Lisa, this is my brother Jonah. Don't be scared of him, he looks like a tough guy but he's really a big teddy bear deep down."

This elicited a grunt from Jonah who merely nodded. "Nice to meet you both. I'm glad to see our cousin is in good hands with you two."

Lisa then tilted her head as a look of realization fell upon her as she stared at Serenity. "You're that ice skater girl! I've seen you in magazines! Jonah! This girl's a damn celebrity!"

Jonah smirked. "That's impressive. Explains how you're able to afford to help Tamara." Then he looked to Tam. "I hate to sound brusque, but Lisa and I haven't eaten yet. Did we all want to go out for dinner or something? I'd be more than happy to treat us all."

Max nodded and sighed, knowing full well after today he'd not be getting any sleep. Idly setting his now empty glass on the coffee table he got up and made his way to the bedroom. Sleep eventually found him but only for a couple hours before he was stirred awake by the smell of food being cooked.

Stumbling into the kitchen, he looked around to see who was preparing what looked like an entire feast for well over six people in his kitchen.
