19: Shen Li (Kang Park-Min post)

“Well I know ‘put your hands in the air like you don’t care’ would be pretty pathetic for a Rex.” I pulled my arms in close to my body and mimicked the creature’s tiny arms, relatively tiny arms. I laughed because I found it funny. “I was just joking Shen. But I can help out with stuff like motion capture if you ever need it. I am pretty good at precise movements.”
I had walked us to the main education block because there was something I thought Shen would want to see.
“I think this place seems big because it is still pretty empty, it’s easy to find space for yourself even in the main house if you need to.”
I had been interested to hear he was a pentathlete. “There are a few students here who go out and help protect or rescue other mutants. They have been tagged the X-Men in honour of the late professor. One of them is Jamie Braddock, I don’t know how big the world of pentathlon is but rumour has it he was world class, and but for him being a mutant he would have been in his first Olympics too. You might want to get some training in with him.”
I had been relating what we saw to the map and legends on my phone to help Shen get a picture of the place as a whole. I withdrew the phone as we came to a particular door.
“This might interest you.” Opening the door I showed Shen the state of the art media studies lab. “I don’t think outside of the occasional class this gets much use.”
