Spirited away

Jp with Lucian, Omni and Bandorchu

Where before there had been a dull hope, seeing the two vanish brought on a deep pit of dread. He stumbled in his disbelief and fell, rolling only a few inches where the boy had been.
He wanted to hope, to have the others usual sense of optimism and blindly believe he would be alive, but he sat in silence.
As far as Tarmen knew, they had just lost Gonyaul.

Alexis was still kneeling in the sand, staring at where the stranger and her friend had vanished.

She felt like never standing up again.
How often were they supposed to get up after being thrown down? Being proven to be completely powerless and insignificant back to back to back?
How much were they expected to suffer through and still bother to carry on?

Her aim was true, but instead of cleaving through armor and flesh, Voah came crashing down hard, her silver blade leaving a mighty gash in the sand. Lam'asiid! The woman had disappeared. Was she really that fast? It was a strange thought but at this rate, Voah was beginning to think her blade simply repelled the sorceress away and couldn't touch her, like two magnets with the same polarity. Remaining focused on her enemy, the arbiter spun around to parry (and hopefully counter) the expected incoming attack, only to find no trace of the Alossi. There remained a very confused Alexis, kneeling down, staring at the scene. Voah spun again. No Stormwielder... and no Gonyaul?
