Morning Hunt

The talk with Boyce had left Islana with even more to think about. The young woman had long given up the slightest idea that her life would ever be, for lack of a better word, normal a long time ago.

Not that Islana really wanted a normal life, by most people's standards, actually that sounded boring but the idea of not having to keep running was definitely tempting.

However, it would mean not being herself any longer. It might mean having to leave her new life behind. Two things Islana wanted to avoid.

She had told Boyce that she would think about it. To say there was a lot on the young hunteress' mind this morning would have been an understatement.

Getting on the back of River, allowing her eyes to close for a moment. Focus. Deep breath. Focus. This was going to be hard today.

Speaking quietly to River, "You'll have to keep me focused. Good luck."

The palomino flipped its tail up and huffed loudly.

Islana smiled, "Like that but I think I'm alright for the moment. Let's go."

A tap of her boots on the side of River and the two were off to hunt for breakfast.
