Physical Appearance

Tall, wiry and sparse, Cagliostro tends to forgo his own health in his pursuit of medicine, he is a man driven; his sunken cheeked and sallow skinned face is marked with eyes feverish in their intensity. His mind is fiercely active when focused, but who becomes listless when distracted from his interests. He is unconcerned with fashion and wears simple clothing, however he is meticulously clean.

Personality and interests

Has high expectations for himself as a Physician and expects others to be of value as well. He has no patience for incompetency. He tries to maintain a detached air, as it helps in his work, but will do whatever it takes to cure those in his care. He is intensely interested in the causality of suffering as he must understand the ailment in order to cure it. This singlemindedness is awkward in social situations as he tends to be focused and oblivious to certain niceties. Cagliostro keeps himself and his possession meticulously clean. He hates filth and cleans clothing, grooms, and bathes regularly.

Background

Born to a wealthy trading family, Cagliostro through his innate curiosity, developed an interest in the works of alchymists and mathematicians and obsessively studied their works. Tragically, prior to his fourteenth birthday, his mother and sister died of the Black Fever, and he lost interest in such daydreams. While his Father buried himself in the family business, Cagliostro instead single mindedly devoted himself to studying medicine and mathematics to deal with his grief. While at the Great Library of Orb in the capital he expressed a particular gift for chymistry, and within three years, his commitment and scientific ability allowed him to make discoveries that earned him the admiration of his peers. He then began to perceive an empirical approach to the nature of life, illness and by extension his studies.

Reason for being in Arcadia

Cagliostro has journeyed extensively to pursue his research, now he has come to the colonies. New compounds and diseases to study will accelerate the ability to create effective treatments and expand human knowledge.
