An Addition

JP with Redsword, Zeeke, Winteroak, and Cindy

After the visions you had experienced and no clues to who or what was the boy or where he could be, you stepped outside the fire-shrine noticing that the sun was quite high and was past its zenith. With that in mind you need to decide what to do. Stay or return to your horses which you should reach by nightfall. Islana notices a falcon perched above the shrine looking at the group.

As the young woman stepped outside, she looked back up towards the sky. The day had moved on and she wasn't certain what if anything more they could learn by staying.

Boyce's answer had made as much sense as anything else as to what had happened to Kaithak. He was also right in thinking it didn't make her feel much better. They would probably never know and that was just something that would be.

Her gaze caught the sight of something watching them. Perched above the shrine, in it's black and grey feathers, the black eyes of a falcon looked down upon the group.

Islana said to the two men, "I know we promised, you Boyce, one more day. If you feel it's warranted, I am fine with staying but I just don't think there is much else to learn by staying. I leave it to both of you to decide if we should head back towards the horses or stay. I need a moment."

The young hunteress walked off, she didn't go far. Just made sure it was pretty much out of sight of the two men and near a tree.

Something inside of her told Islana to see if the falcon would follow, maybe land on the tree in front of her, without using her abilities.

Wim looked at them and nodded. Then looking at Islana and said, “Omen’s vision was of an enemy beyond the mountains.” His words fell short as Islana headed off.

Shaking his head, he smiled at the thought he ruffled a god’s hair.

The whole Inquisition piece was just an annoyance that seemed to come often. Wim had no magic that he knew of. Being the recipient of a vision from a god was not really under his control either. If they wanted to kill him for being unlucky to be plagued by the gods, what could he do?

"Wim, I have copied everything I can and we found nothing else. I have a good idea how long this place has been here and noted that too. So do we head back for the horses? or can we keep going up this trail." suggested Wolf He looked in the direction of where Islana walked off. "Do you think Islana is ok?" asked Wolf.

Wim looked at him seriously. Then spoke, "How long till sun SET? THE Mountain shadows play with my sense of time."
He continued, "I think this is what we were supposed to find." It wasn't really an answer but it was better than a no.

"She will be fine. She is a strong determined lady," he said. Wim believed it might have something to do with the boy disappearing.

Islana returned a few minutes later. The two men seemed to be still discussing things.

"Has a decision been made?" She was certain they had enough time to make it back to the horses but they would have to leave soon if that had been the decision.

Wolf looked over Islana. Wolf saw the falcon perched nearby and at first, ignored it. Wolf took a step toward Islana to ask her a question. The falcon looked at Wolf intently moving its head around and ruffling its feathers. Wolf stepped back and it settled down. "Islana" said Wolf, stepping closer again. Wolf looked up at the falcon, again it reacted to Wolf. Smiling Wolf shook his head "Islana, I was going to ask you a question but your new friend?" asked Wolf. "Seems to wonder on my intentions," said Wolf.

It almost seemed like Wolf and the falcon were doing a dance. The young woman should have known better than to think her companion wouldn't be noticable.

"I think I might have found out what happened to Kaithak. I can't be certain but that falcon seems to want to be with me. So, I'd like you both to meet Kaithak, again."

Islana nodded towards the falcon who flew a little closer but remained out of arms' reach.

"It will take sometime to get him used to us. But I really don't think that it see's either of you as a threat."

It didn't matter if that was really Kaithak or not, the idea that it might be was making Islana feel a little better about what had occurred. It wasn't any stranger than anything else that had happened recently.

"So, what was your question?" The young hunteress asked Boyce.
