The Chief Calls

Sam’s father was a big man. He was also drunk. He abhorred being the Chief’s gopher. The Chief’s enforcer. The Chief’s whatever. He wanted to be Chief.

He stood before the home of the Greywell family. He was ordered to bring Pahayoko’s friend to the Chief.

So, now he was standing at their door knocking. He began to curse as rain began to fall.
