Impressions

“Chili dogs with extra cheese side of onion rings and a large coke." rolled off her tongue without even thinking.

Sam snickered as he placed the menu atop the one she laid upon the table. He nodded, giving verbal approval. “Same here,” he added.

As the waitress walked away with the order, Sam looked at the youngest King. He wasn’t quite sure how to take her, from the moment he first seen her. He had to admit, the more he observed the more he liked. She had a way of growing on someone. Not like what he had envisioned the Kings to be.

“So,” Sam probed with raised brows, “what was your first impression of the reservation. It is good I was there with you. You should never go upon it by yourself.”

Kate answered with a soft chuckle. "well perhaps its for the best. seems the wine might be getting the best of us." she motioned to the door. "we should probably get back to it."

“Yes,” Embry reluctantly agreed. “We can’t have people missing your presence.” He rubbed the stubble on his face, then placed his aviators back in its place upon his nose. “Where is an out of the way place we can set up operations?”

He followed the red head, admiring her shapely figure until they entered where the rest of the guests were conversing. He was disappointed things hadn’t progressed beyond that closeness. He would wait. Delayed gratification would be worth it with this lady.

The brute of a man looked down on Topusana. His hand reached out and grabbed her by the elbow. The man wasn’t known for his gentleness. She most likely could smell the tequila with each exhale.

“Get into the car!” he roughly insisted, forcing her towards the vehicle with the firm grasp. “The Chief wishes to speak with you!”

He forced her into the car, then got to the driver’s seat, placing the vehicle into gear.
