Sasha's Debrief

Jp with Lasersexpanther, Redsword and Cindy

Being summoned Sasha grabbed her note. Not having time to translate or transcribe them yet.

She arrived and gave a small knock to announce herself before stepping in. Looking rather tired but not worse for wear like the others. "Good Evening Lady Elizabeth and Mr. Sung." She greeted and took a seat.

"Good Evening, Miss Lagrave," replied Sung. "Just know we are not here to criticize anything you have done," commented Sung.

Sasha nodded understandingly. "I did not presume it was disciplinary. It is a debrief is it not?" She asked. "My assumption was you wished to know what I uncovered today?"

"Yes Ma'am, You are correct I am most interested in your assessment of the Monster we fought," answered Sung. Sung was waiting for Elizabeth to say something. She is the leader and Sung should let her lead.

"Please, MIss Lagrave feel free to take a seat." Elizabeth started. "Let's first start with what, if anything, you uncovered."

Sasha pulled a book she took notes in from her coats pocket. "I only learned a small deal. I will need to follow up and see if things change in a day or two. But..." she paused turning to a page that looked like just a bunch of chicken scratches in French. "I believe la Capitaine de port is on the take." she said. "He keeps two manifest books." she looked to see if they knew what she meant so far before going into her real findings.

"One book is for the actual intake and output from the docks while another is intended only for the constabulary." Sasha opened the notes to another page. "I didn't have time to read the books other than copy their contents. Which I will get you a more legible copy by tomorrow." she said, "A lot of the contents are abbreviations meant only for the Harbormaster's eyes. But..." Sasha pointed to the left page. "Several Packages labeled Apothecary supplies are marked L.O.A." she told them.

"If I understand what you are telling me maybe the Doctor is getting his supplies through them? Did you see any of the supplies or just the leggers?" ask Sung politely.

Sasha pointed to the opposite page. "This page is the 'legal' version of the book." she spun it back so she could read it again. "I don't know that the Harbormaster is aware of what the shipments contain. Typically L.O.A. packages or 'lost on arrival' the contents aren't known. It adds deniability, its more a simple 'palms are greased' and a package that wasn't even meant to be on the ship goes missing. The L.O.A. marker is to tell them what to have out in the front door and out the back, and never be stored in the warehouse." Sasha told them. "It's not impossible they know who they are for or what they contain, but not knowing is a safety net to be oblivious. However the Harbormaster would know it is very illegal product."

Elizabeth thought for a moment, "You said, the dock master is on the take?"

"Mr. Sung what was the name of the Dockmaster you were supposed to go talk to?" Elizabeth asked. Maybe, luck would have it there was two, and their lead would still be alive but Elizabeth wasn't holding out hope.

"Unfortunately thinking on that, Mr Dubost was the one being killed when we arrived. We were on our way to speak with him. when we ran into the Monster, there was nothing we could do." said Sung sadly.

"There might be more than one, dock master, though." Elizabeth responded. "Miss Lagrave, what was the name you were given of the dock master?"

Sasha thought a moment. "I believe his name was Frank Boswell." Sasha said. "He was somewhat short and portly like a thumb. What little conversation I overheard I can tell you he is French."

"Mr. Dubost, Dock Master, I was thinking of. He was about 6' tall, sticky build. He was built like a dock worker, " commented Sung.

"So, then not the same person." Elizabeth stated. "We might need a plan for the docks." Soeaking of which, "We are having a meeting of most of the team tomorrow, after lunch. It will consist of those of us more on the investigative lines for this case. We will be coming up with several plans including keeping team members as safe as possible. Inflatrating the Children of The Sea, who we now know are somehow linked to Dr. Lamaire. And we add, ways to get more information from the docks, especially this Mr. Boswell. Of couse, you, Miss Lagrave will be among those for the meeting." That gave her time to prepare input, if she chose.

"Now, on to Mr. Sung's question about the monster. What is your assessment of the monster?" Elizabeth inquired.

Sasha placed the book back in her coat. "It was unlike anything I've fought in any way." Sasha said. "I've fought beast, I've fought man. This serum makes them both and neither." she wasn't sure it made sense to them. "I may have only grazed it because others were in the fire line but almost nothing shrugs off a shot from 'Le Dieu Marteau'. I took a chunk out of its shoulder and it acted like I threw a pebble. These beasts have the ferocity of beasts but the minds of men. A pointable fear and anger."

Sasha had a grim look. "We need to better prepare. Some of use almost didn't walk away from that fight, and we weren't fighting something that wanted to fight." Sasha said. "That was man forceds and in fear, I do not wish to find out what a devotee to Docteur Lamaire would be capable of."

Sung had thought of the same of the Monster. "Its rage will be its weakness. I think I have also fought many things in my time. Nothing quite like this. Dr. Lamaire Monsters bother me in a way" Sung tapered off in thought. He looked like he drifted for a moment. "Well I was just surprised at it," said Sung looking a little drained.

"I noticed when I sped up my attacks, the monster did the same." This being the first monster Elizabeth had fought, not in a training scenario, she had nothing to compare it to. "Thank you, Miss Lagrave. I have no more questions. Mr Sung did you have anything else?"

Sung smiled "No, Miss Lagrave has been most informative." replied Sung.

"Then Miss Lagrave, we'll see you tomorrow. If there is anything you need, please feel free to ask. Good night." Elizabeth commented.

When Sasha had left, Elizabeth took a breath. It was after 11 at night, after a very trying day. "Mr. Sung. We should have breakfast tomorrow morning, and talk." It wasn't said as a request. She was concerned about what he had said earlier. Not just as team leader, but also with him being, pretty much, family. "Tomorrow morning, about 8. In the greenhouse." The greenhouse, Elizabeth was referring to, was the more elaborate of the ones on the property. It had a beautiful area for having breakfast with a small number of people. White rod iron, table and cushioned chairs. And a fountain among the citrus trees and multitude of flowers.

Elizabeth got up and went to her door. "Right now, however, I am lucky I am still awake." She joked. "So, I bid you a good night." She wasn't worried about leaving Sung in her office, so he could stay there as long as he liked.
