Bitter Sweet

Many hours past as the crew tended to their wounds and split up. Evelina sat alone on a beach towel under a large umbrella on a deserted beach as she watched the waves crash on the beach. A slight cool breeze cause her hair to flow ever so slightly. Her skin glowed and glistened in the artificial sun light making her even more attractive. Everything about her body was made to be alluring on purpose in order to increase sales in the modeling world of her past. Even her sweat and body order was alluring. If it wasn't common knowledge many would consider her as a model at first site. As she sat on her towel she thought about her embarrassment and how she was going to face the others later on. Even though it was the only safe way to curb her husbands blood induced killing frenzy, public love sessions were not her bag despite the asinine opinion of the others. She wished she and her husband could just stay at the resort forever and alone, but knowing her luck something else would try to kill them or they would run out of food eventually.

Jaxx saw his wife, Evelina on the beach as he was carrying a tray of fruity drinks and snacks to her. As he sat next to her he said, "Like I got some O them May Flys ya like Eve babe." She smiled as she looked at him and replied, "Huh?......Oh....Mai Tais. Thanks." She the picked up the large Mai Tai and sipped it slowly thru the straw. He smiled nervously as he asked, " Like how's your side? Like does it still hurt?" She replied, "Much better now that I got some pain killers." He offered her some sliced fruits and cheese cubes from the tray as he said, "Hungry Eve babe?" She smiled as she shook her head no. He sighed as he put the tray down and stared at the sand. They sat in silence for a few minutes as the waves kept crashing before them. Finally he broke down and bowed down before her and said, "I'm totally sorry Eve babe. Please hit me or like yell at me or totally thrash me if ya want. I totally deserve it fer wiggin out on all ya." She looked at him begging for forgiveness and waiting for a punishment before she replied, "I'm not mad at you Jaxx just embarrassed. I just don't want to be teased by the others right now fer doin ya in public." Jaxx didn't move as he replied, "Naw it's totally my fault fer loosin it back there and all." She sighed as she replied, "That bitch took advantage of our weakness and turned us against each other."

She looked at the small scar on his head from the bullet wound as she asked, "So how is your head?" He gave a goofy grin as he replied, "Like it's just a scratch no biggie. I'm like used ta 'em." She asked, "Why didn't you get Grovley to use the nanos on that?" He sighed as he replied, "Like its just a scratch Eve babe, an sides the others needed 'em more." She replied, "Sometime I wish they could see this part of you." He replied, "Huh? Wut part? Are like my goodies showing?" She smirked and held in her chuckle before she replied, "I meant your giving side. I doubt many of them ever noticed it except for when you died to save us and I bet they forgot already." He lowered his head in shame as he replied, "Yeah that was like a real bad day fer me." She replied, "Me to. Baby I thought I would never see you again. Hell I didn't know you even made a deal with Ms. Jones. I was a hot mess after that." He sighed as he replied, "Well ta be totally honest Eve babe, I didn't believe she like could or would even do it ta begin with. I figured she wus lyin and trickin me ta save her and her boyfriend flyboy. I mean neither of 'em really like me ta begin wit so I figured it was a one way ticket fer me no matter what." She looked sad as she replied, "Then why? Why go through all that for a group of people who don't like you?" He looked at her and replied, "I like only did it fer you Eve babe." Like in my whole short life fer wut I can member, I totally only had two friends, you and Davie and he's dead." She looked at his sad face as she replied, "I see." He replied, "But like its cool Eve babe cause I totally still have you so I'll just deal wit it."

She leaned on him as she held his hand and replied, "No more talking lets just enjoy the moment of the both of us alone here." He nodded as he put his arm around her and sat quietly with her. After a while they headed out to the beach to do some swimming and horseing to cheer themselves up.
