Morning after 'The Party' at about 10:00am ship time

Kayn was probably the only member of Blue Dwarf (excluding Harris) not hungover. As he climbed out of the starbug where he had spent the last night, he walked straight to the drive room. On the way he encountered senventeen people hungover, four trying to shove down more alcohol claiming it was 'hair of the dog', and one six armed person with a bandage on his wierdly shaped nose. Naturally, Kayn tried talking to Efof.
 
"You had a rough night?" said Kayn chirpily
Efof didn't reply
"You ok? You look like you were hit somewhere painful"
 
Efof ran crying to the garbage disposal area. Kayn shrugged his soldiers and walked to Nipel's office to thank him for the promotion to Leiutenant Jnr.
 
"Morning sir, thanks for the promotion"
"Urk..." was about the only understandable comment Nipels said.
 
Kayn had a tough job on his hands this morning - everyone wanted a black coffee and there was no more hot drink available until supplies were restocked...and Kayn had to work a continuous 20 hour shift due to 'skiving off' - If you count 'skiving off' as shooting down asteroids and being sent to an uncharted planet and being abducted by aliens...then yes, Kayn had skived...

"20%" Z92 muttered, "It's taking too long!!!!"
"Quiet" muttered the Galaxian Emperor "Check his blood pressure"
"Dropping...The extremes of caffene are deteriorating" said F56 as he read the meters from Kayn's life readings
"We didn't throw a rock at his head and install that 909-chip for nothing..."said the evil Emperor, "We will attack in a standard week..."
"They'll all be dead by then...they have a life expectancy of a minute for us"
"Then we attack sooner...after lunch"
 
The evil emperor walked off in search for his asprins...he had a party last night too. The human member of his crew was punched in the nose (which was actually his groin), his secret admiree had dyed her hair jet black, and his chief security officer (not that he wished to be called that) was walking about like he owned the place - maybe he should have gone on another ship
