After the fight

Sabina looked towards Ceriden, wondering why he seemed a little tense. She didn’t get to ask before he asked her of her thoughts of Dalen so far “Well I guess it’s not as bad as I expected it to be”. That was one way of saying it, the if she were to be honest she didn’t like being here at all. There were simply too many dangerous types around, not to mention all the creatures that all were more than capable of killing her within a split-second.

Before she even realised what was happening the horse was suddenly frightened by the deafening sound of the blot of lighting. The horse jumped to the side and Sabina was pulled with it since she was still holding on to the reins. She tried hard to calm it down and prevent it from running away and luckily it was working, at least a little. After all, this horse had been trained for war, so this wasn’t the first time it had been exposed to a loud and scary sound, but it was still taken by surprise.

It took her quite a while, but she finally managed to calm it down. She then turned towards Ceriden full of anger because of his stupid magic trick that had almost frightened the horse away, but when she saw what was happening she stopped. Ceriden was standing next to what seemed to be a man who appeared to be unconscious. “What are you doing?!” she rushed towards him with a mix of anger and anxiety in her voice.

Further away Gareth was suddenly woken by the loud sound and almost jumped to his feet. It took him a few seconds to remember what’d happened and why he was in the forest. He looked around, but he was all alone, which surprised him almost as much as the sound had. He then focused on the noises that were coming from further away and carefully moved closer.

When he found the sound of the noise the fight between Ceriden and the spy had already ended. Not sure of what to do, wheter he should stay or take advantage of this opportunity and make a run for it, he just kept standing at the spot, starring at Ceriden and the spy.

He then saw how Sabina was staring at him. Only now he noticed that he was almost entirely covered in blood and the way she looked at him made him feel extremely uncomfortable and he started to back away a little, both embarrassed and disgusted by himself.

Sabina couldn't help but stare at Gareth when he approached the scene. The sight of him covered in blood, especially around his mouth and his right arm, made her feel sick, but there were also something else about him. He seemed different in a way. something else completely. She almost didn't believe her own eyes, but he didn't look nearly as skinny as he'd done only a few hours ago. Could the blood he'd just had really make such a big difference? It had to be It, but how was that even possible?
