Lars felt his eyes narrow and his lips tighten into a straight line as Artem's comment reached his ears. It was extremely distasteful, especially in front of a Lady, and Lars felt his eyes drifting up to catch Gularzob's in an unspoken question of why the orc was going through the trouble to help this duo. Seeing the orc slowly drop his gaze down to the counter, Lars nodded minutely as he understood. Gularzob had felt awkward and cornered, even on the outside of the walls. Now, he could not allow himself to go back on his word and so he simply trudged forward with the plan. The orc's sense of right and wrong had always confused the orc, what with his need to see a plan through to the end even if there was no profit simply because he had given his word that he would do it. Shaking his head gently, Lars chuckled softly and smiled as he thought of the honor both of his friends exhibited before turning his gaze back to the couple before him.

Hearing the dry laugh from Winifred and seeing the embarrassment on the fairy's face, Lars stepped into the changing shelter after her and brought his hands up with a silent incantation. Immediately, the air around them shimmered before settling back to normal, a telltale sign that a magical barrier of some sort had been put into place. Hearing her response to Lars' earlier comment he realized just how careless his words had seemed to the young fairy and so he quickly moved his hands up with his palms facing her before speaking as she finished, "Calm yourself, darling. Before you go on, I wanted to tell you that you may speak freely in here and that no one other than myself can see you." Gesturing to the magical bubble that had kept her outburst contained within itself, Lars turned back to her with a sincere and knowing smile before speaking, "I meant no offence, Ms. Winifred, when I called it a garb. In fact, on the base level of terminology, everything I create is a garb of some sort."

Moving his hand to the fabric of her preexisting dress, he felt the material and retracted his hand as she went about unsteadily undressing herself. Turning his eyes downward and watching his hands, he gave her what limited privacy that he could as she got undressed before him. As she finished, he turned to look her over, his eyes already imagining different styles of dresses that would fit over her form. Glancing up to her face as she spoke, he felt her heart soften at her words, his head shaking slightly as she continued into self deprecation. Bringing a delicate hand up to her chin, he moved her head so that her gaze would naturally land on him unless she purposefully looked away. Smiling with a knowing expression, he swallowed thickly, wretched memories flooding through his mind as he spoke in a soft tone laden with emotion and obvious sincerity, "Trust me, I wish I could say the same. Do not speak as if it is a shame that you have protected that which you can only give once, for once it is gone, you will second guess yourself and regret it until the day that you leave this plain of existence and move on to the afterlife." Pausing as his throat restricted, Lars breathed in deeply before closing his eyes, cursing himself as he felt a stream of tears run down his cheeks.

Wiping the moisture away quickly, Lars took in a shaky breath and reinforced his false sense of acceptance with a slightly unconvincing smile before speaking, "A snob? That is one thing I do not see in you, Winifred. Now, if you don't mind, I am going to take your measurements." Pulling a small length of rope with hash marks on it from within his dress, he stepped closer to her in order to begin taking measurements of her bosom, waist, and hips. After writing them on a scrap piece of parchment he had brought with him into the closet, he moved to measure the length from her neckline to the floor and then her legs individually up to her waist and the the length and circumference of her arms as several points.

(OOC - Sorry SilverCloud, I wasn't sure how to involve Artem in this post. With him going into his changing area, neither Gular or Isai would follow him in to take his measurements.)
