Cloaks and Daggers

-Dalen Capital, Gularzob's Shop. Mid-afternoon, 0 DSTR-

Isai watched as Artem walked over to him with his eyes cast towards the parchment, moving occasionally as if he were reading it already. Looking down at the blank parchment with raised brows as if half-expecting it to have writing already, Isai shook his head with a slight smile before crossing his arms and leaning forward. Looking the man over, his eyes prodded the man's strengths and weaknesses. He had the form of a warrior, but not that of a soldier. Therefore, his wealth would have come from individual accomplishment rather than military action. Bringing his right hand up to his chin, he moved his head from side to side once, looking along the man's sides before nodding and looking up at him. Nodding slightly, he looked up at the man before speaking, "Alright, I need to know the name you wish to go by and a little bit about you personally. Do not worry, I will not disclose your information, I will only use it to elaborate on your new identity to make it match you."

Gularzob smiled slightly as he heard Winifred's comment about being granted permission, his head nodding as a soft chuckle accompanied it. Looking down at he, he tilted his head to the side before replying, "That is indeed one helluva way to put it. In actuality, Thalia was bending to growing pressure from her advisors to simply withdraw from the conflict. It was growing extremely costly for her to continue, what with growing numbers of Dalen casualties as we developed better defensive strategies. It was perfect timing I'm her part, for we were prepare for an offensive strike to take the fight to her and get the fighting away from our walls."

After speaking, Gularzob glanced down from the forge to her face at the sound of the soft whistle. He felt himself drawn into her features as she spoke, but he quickly averted his eyes and turned them back to the forge as he listened to her speak. Moving his eyes back to her face as she spoke of her old queen, his eyebrows raised slightly before he responded, "Do not worry, your secret is safe with me. The only interactions I have with contractual customers is to get the specifications, deliver the product, and receive my payment. I have made it a practice off mine to avoid conversations, especially since I have dealings with both sides of many conflicts. It would be quite awkward to share secrets between opposing generals." Chuckling softly as he finish, he shook his head before smirking at her comment of coming back within a week's time.

Moving his eyes back to the dagger within the case she was looking at, a smile of pride overcoming his expressions as he watched her examining his work with slight wonder in her eyes. Stepping to the case as well when she spoke of her old dagger, he held his right hand out slightly before speaking, "May I see the dagger? I could possibly have one here that would fit within your scabbard, or I could craft one to match yours right now. And trust me, I know the difficulties of retrieving unicorn blood." Walking over to a locked cabinet that was inset behind the counter, he unlocked it and opened it before holding up five vials of a silvery liquid. Seeing her words end in a slight pout, he grinned slightly and leaned on the counter.

[I don't know if this was illustrated, so boom. Gular went around and behind the counter to get to the locked cabineh that contained the unicorn blood. Sorry]
