More Introductions

(OOC – Tyler, you're a writing machine! And again proving yourself to be our MVP by instantly volunteering to play Tyreth and already having written a long post for the character, all before I even knew what was going on. I'm sorry to see Kevret go. Unlike Nim, I didn't see anything wrong with what Ren and aasully wrote, as I took it all to be a naturally occurring part of the story. I thought Tyreth was putting on an act so Randel would underestimate him. If you're reading this Kevin, you can always come back and play another character if you like. I wonder if much like DaMasterT, you might have lost interest in Tyreth and weren't quite sure how to gracefully bow out of playing him. But I didn't read the letter Nim received, so that is just idle speculation on my part. Reading Tyler's post, Tyreth now seems like a completely different character. If Tyler hadn't volunteered to play him so quickly I wonder if we could have just had Kline kill Tyreth, or maybe Jack kill him.)

-Dalen Capital, Valade Estate. Around Noonish, 2 DSTR-

Smiling, Gulazrob offered a minute bow as Kalena introduced him before speaking, "I appreciate the praise, Miss Valade, but I don't think you can proclaim my talent when you have not yet bore full witness. Speaking of which, I would like to speak with you about the current progress of your commission. In private, if you don't mind."

"Of course," Kalena said, a frown creasing her delicate brow for a moment. She was curious what he specifically wished to discuss about it. Perhaps he required some funds in advance in order to purchase certain materials he needed that may be on the expensive side? Gularzob was all about the best and the best usually cost money.

“My men have arrived,” Kline spoke up as he walked up behind them all.

Kalena turned and took in his change of appearance; the well cut deep red velvet coat, loose silk shirt and soft leather trousers looked a bit out of place on him. Some men are made for warrior garb, she thought. She could not help but notice he was still wearing his longsword. Another might have been bothered by a guest openly carrying a weapon on his person. She did not mind. Kline had only just survived an attempt on his life and now was in an unfamiliar environment. In his place she would have wanted to keep her sword handy too.

“I trust the accommodations are to their liking?” Kalena replied, moving back to allow Kline to step forward. “This is Gularzob Nugbu, a blacksmith of some small renown,” she said, deliberately moderating her praise and flashing a quick, playful smile at the orc. “His farrier skills are quite good—so good in fact that he is the only one in Dalen who I'll let shoe any of my horses. And this, Gularzob, is Baron Kline Lowson, another guest to our fair city. His Excellency owns a prestigious vineyard and wine business.”

As the foursome began making their way inside the palatial house, and Lafayette spoke of his sword to Gularzob, a carriage pulled up at the gate and a woman in a black dress emerged. "Kalena!" she shouted in a sing song voice. Her heels clacked up the cobblestone entryway, though the awkward rhythm of her feet signalled she was used to flat shoes, and was like a new-born foal when walking in heels. It was a little something that Kalena always found odd, as it seemed incongruous with the woman's presumed upbringing and lifestyle.

“Eliza, you look as lovely as ever. I like the dress,” Kalena said. When the purple-haired beauty reached within a few feet of them, she again made gracious introductions. “Everyone, may I present Lady Eliza Lavender Telsana. Eliza, this is Baron Kline Lowson, Lafayette Le Renard, and Gularzob Nugbu.”
