"Uncivilized" Tactics

Mar felt a pang of guilt over how Serenity described the death of her master. It was a story he'd lived a hundred times over, only as the perpetrator. The faces of all the Jedi he'd killed were burned into his memories forever, sadly... the names had long faded from their faces... A price for his arrogance and cruelty.

However, he didn't have time to feel guilty as Serenity leaped into the fray. "Serenity! Wait!" He tried to call out to her as Ghost attempted to grab her, but both failed. Mar was surprised by the anger that Serenity was displaying. But it was wild and unchecked and given how this stranger was toying with her. Mar noted how the stranger was using a double-bladed sword. No doubt a vibroblade or some cortosis-alloy to prevent damage when struck with a lightsaber. He also noted the lightsaber that was hanging from his belt. Mar was curious why he hadn't produced it yet. This whole fight was looking more and more worrying. Mar would need to change tactics.

He found one of the many blaster rifles the stormtroopers had dropped in previous battle and summoned it to his other hand. Then he took aim and fired at the stranger, taking care to avoid hitting Serenity. Unlike many a stormtrooper he'd faced, he knew how to aim, even without the aid of The Force.

Naturally, Mar was very well aware he could just as easily crush this man, but what had happened to Serenity was making him hesitant to delve back into The Dark Side. However, Mar was not one to rely on The Force for aid, it was a weakness many Jedi had displayed over his time as an Inquisitor. Relieve them of their ability to use the force, either with your own abilities or with drugs, and many Jedi were helpless.

Mar, was not helpless.

He continued to fire at Ripper with the blaster.
