Bad News

Kent grimaced at the mention of River and shrugged as he used the crutches to get up. "I'm actually not very hungry." He explained with a kind smile. "Honestly, I'm tired after the fun time I've had at the hospital. You catch up with your cousins, Tam." With a look to Tam that said she probably call River, he made his way to the bedroom.

Kevin made a plate and enjoyed the breakfast, happily sharing with Bonnie and her adorable mouse. "I have work, so there's that..." He told Max calmly. "You can spend time with my parents or do your own thing with Bonnie and Jr. here if you want."

Mr. Andrews grunted as he turned the page of the book in hand. "Don't overwork yourself, son." He muttered.

Kevin's mother waved a hand at her husband. "Set that book down an' eat yer food!"

"Yes, ma'am." Mr. Andrews chuckled as he used a clean napkin as a bookmark and made himself a plate of breakfast. "Mind helping me make sure she eats too? Woman is stubborn."

With River, the world was crashing down for her.

Getting woken up to a phone call that gave her horrifying information, the photographer felt she was on the verge of panic. She wanted to scream at the news of her rapist escaping prison. No amount of promises or encouragement were going to help her feel better about the situation. Of course the police were on the lookout for him, of course they said he "did not" know where she was, but River knew better.

She knew him.

"I won't be used again..." She whispered as she went to her room and pulled a case from beneath her bed. Opening it, she revealed a double barrel shotgun and glanced back toward each window and door. "Never again..."
