Coffee And Discomfort

Khunara is so focused on her work that she does not notice Johnathan until he is speaking. With a jump, she turns to look at him and feels her cheeks heat up. “Oh, ah...yes, good morning!” She says with a soft laugh. “You spooked me there.” Gently taking the cup of coffee being offered to her, the Dream Walker takes a sip and hums. “Coffee...”

It is a silly little gesture, but to have coffee handed to her by such a kind and handsome man as Johnathan makes her feel special. This only makes her blush darken slightly and she cannot stop the smile that forms on her face. “So, what's the plan for today, John?” She asks him kindly.

Sophia Sawyer is outside on her own with Honey, watching her wolf-dog sniff around and find a place to take care of business. She knows her companion is not in need of such escorting, but the white haired young woman feels safer with her wolf-dog. Honey is the only thing that keeps the panic away when she's uncertain about things.

Looking back toward the house, she contemplates returning, but does not wish to put up with Malik and his glares. Whatever Lydia told him the night before seems to have angered him enough that he's blaming Sophia for it. At least that's what she thinks, anyway.

Hugging her stomach, she gazes out at the land around her and wonders if this world will ever accept her kind. Doubt eats away at her mind, though, and she crouches down to fiddle with some tall grass. The look that man gives her reminds her too much of how the...monsters would always stare at her as they took what they wanted. She can still feel their hands holding her down, ripping off her clothes, hurting her again and again and again...

Shaking the horrible memories from her mind, Sophia looks up and realizes that Honey is gone. “Oh, where did you go now?” She says and gets to her feet, looking around for the animal. It is not uncommon for Honey to run off and hunt on her own, but it still leaves the wind user nervous.

That's when she notices the shadow looming over her. It's too big for a female, so she goes wide eyed the moment she turns to see who it is...
