All Alone

"Love you too Abs." Jade whispered. She wiped a tear from her face and looked around, feeling ridiculous in her Dervish gear carrying a huge sniper rifle.

Lil' Plisky Bakewell looked up at the scary soldier lady. Her tears and crying filled Plisky with a want to look after her in a fatherly way- no a grandfatherly way.

"Hey Al," said Plisky, tugging on his friends clothes, which were a bright array of greens and reds like they had been before.

"Yeah?" said Al from under his cloud of shame.

"How come Miss Soldier Lady is crying?"

Al sighed- how was he to explain to a little kid about love? How did he know anything about love. Plisky looked up at his older friend, his eyes filled with questions. Al looked around, trying to find something to change the subject.

"Hey Plisk, why don't you watch the big screen and wait for someone to say your name?"

"It won't," said Plisky, shaking his head. His voice was strangely happy, like the fact didn't bother him at all.

"What do you mean?" said Al, bending down so he was eye level with Plisky.

"I mean, I don't think it will. I think I'm all alone here. "

"Aw, Plisky," Al put his arms around the little boy, the bells that adorned his clothing jangled as he did so.

"No, it's okay," Plisky said as he moved Al's arms, "I can't quite remember but I think I left someone back home," Plisky giggled, "Where ever home is!"

Plisky walked over to Jade, leaving Al to hide in his shame and embarassment.

Jade was still trying to hold back her tears, the flood of emotions being a bit too much for the big tough soldier lady. Plisky stopped at her feet, his little face looking up at her from beneath his wide hat. She looked back at him, her tears stopped in the curiosity of the little kid.

"It's okay Miss Soldier Lady," said Plisky and tightly hugged her legs, the only part of her that he could reach.

Jade almost fell from the suprise, "Why do you care if I cry or not?"

Plisky was confused by the question and he couldn't think of a good answer other than it seemed right but he settled with, "Why wouldn't I?"

Taken aback by the simple answer, Jade dropped the oversized sniper rifle and it clattered to the ground.

"He, I wish everyone was like you," she said through a tear.

<OOC- Argh, this will probably need more than a little edit.>
