Sit and Listen

Garand's arm shot out as he watched Miles raise his axe, fearing that his strike might bring the entire cavern down and planning to stun him before he could do so, however his outstretched hand tightened into a fist as Luna addressed him.

The Half-Elf fixed to speak, in attempts to reassure the man that his additional effort was not needed, however, Erik spoke up first. The man seemed on a fuse and Garand didn't want to be the one that caused him to explode. Even if it would feed his Psionic abilities, antagonizing Miles seemed overly unnecessary.

Sensing a potential of growing tension between the armored man and the Jotun, Garand made an attempt to try and separate them, lest the two get fired up and either injure each other or bring the cave down in their scuffle.

"Armored one, come," he said, sure to keep his tone devoid of any sort of negativity.

"You need not speak, only listen."

Garand was aware his attempts to diffuse the situation might turn out to be riskier than he could afford, in that either he might escalate the situation or cause Miles to take on a sour mood toward the Half-Elf himself as well, however he hoped that the armored man might be tame enough at the moment to comply. He had a sort of affinity for sensing and detecting emotions due to his magic, however gauging how his actions might alter others tended to be much more difficult.
