Girl Talk

OOC - (I switched Ashley to the Freshman squad for the story line)

So as Ashley and her friends joined the meeting they saw Blossom who was the new Flyer. Ashley noticed she was very small which would be very helpful for the team. To be friendly with the other girls Ashley greeted Blossom with a warm smile and some kind words. Ashley then looked at Blossom.
Ashley: Hi I'm Ashley Bendinger. You must be our new Flyer right? You look so cute. Are you excited? After the meeting we will be getting fitted for new uniforms. I can't wait to show it off to my boyfriend. I hope he likes it.
Ashley's two cheer friends giggled at the girl talk.

"I hope I am," she admitted. "I'm Blossom, like a flower?"
She'd been recruited to be the flyer but after Captain it was a super sought after position since it was such high visibility to the crowds and thus got the flyer a lot of popularity.

Ashley: Oh you are so cute, just like a flower. Right girls?

Ashley's two cheer friends giggled and agreed. Oddly enough Ashley liked getting along with her cheer mates since it was more fun to be around them when they were "Cheerful". Well that......and the extra eyes around the school. By making many friends in the school she could keep better tabs on Jack and who was trying to take him away from her. Jack was hers and hers alone.

In girl world popularity was better than cash and right up there with who your boyfriend was, which Ashley had no hesitation about saying she had one. "I don't know if we're on the same squad? I'm on Freshman Cheer," Ashley looked like she was a year older and had the confidence of an almost upper classman. "I bet you're on JV and a lot better than I am."

Ashley: Awwwwww you are such a sweetie. But I am a Freshman too so that means we are on the same squad. I am just happy I made the team right girls?

The two freshmen cheer friends seemed excited since they barely made the team as well.

Ashley smiled at Blossom when she heard she was on the Freshman team as well and she thought highly of her. Oddly enough Ashley deliberately didn't do anymore than she had to get on the team. She was not interested in being the cheer Captain, Flier, JV or Varsity since the added responsibility would interfere with her quality time with her Jack. Though her mother insisted on her trying out for the cheer squad, Ashley didn't do it to please her mother or father. Sadly the only reason she wanted to be a cheerleader was to show off in front of Jack. Since Jack liked to play hard to get, it made her excited to get his attention by any means possible and since he was a boy dealing with his hormones her being in a skimpy cheer costume was a bonus to win him over completely. However no one but Jack would ever believe she was the psycho stalker type since he was her only victim.

"I bet he loves your eyes, they're so pretty, Ashley." Blossom always wished she blue eyes instead of the mouse brown ones she sported behind her glasses. There were a lot of things Blossom wished she had like Ashley, from her figure and her height to her pretty face and her lack of needing glasses.

Ashley blushed at Blossom's words. It made it look like she was embarrassed of the compliment, but in reality she knew Jack was interested in more than her eyes even though he would not admit it without being in an arm bar.

Ashley: Ohhhhhh……….. you are such a sweet girl. I know we are going to get along like cheer sisters.

Ashley gave Blossom gentle hug to show how much she liked her. She made it a point to be gentle with the frail Blossom since she was an irreplaceable member of the team. Then the two cheer friends joined in the group hug with Blossom. This was considered normal in the cheer world with close groups. Sadly not all the members of the three squads shared the same feelings. In the background Elisa Donovan was with the JV group (2nd year sophomores) and with her snobby friends talking smack about meaningless stuff they had to deal with during the summer. The conversation was very superficial and from the tone of their voices they were rich snobby kids who hated to work for anything.

Back to the snobby group with Elisa. Sadly they were all pretending to care about anyone other than themselves. Of course it was in the background so many of the cheer girls ignored it.

Snobby JV Cheer girl 1: My mom insisted I get tennis lessons last summer.

Elisa: My plastic surgeon doesn't want me doing any activity where balls fly at my nose.

Snobby JV Cheer girl 2: My father made me help visit one of his farms and I had to wear overalls.

Elisa: You could be a farmer in those clothes.

Elisa: I had to do summer school classes to bring my grades up.
And was a total bust since it was like "Mr. Hall, how can I answer that? The topic is Haiti and she's talking about some party. So Whatever!"

Snobby JV Cheer girl 1: So what did you say to him?

Elisa: If she doesn't do the assignment, I can't do mine.

Snobby JV Cheer girl 3: So did you pass?

Elisa: Yeah I had to write some lame paper on Haiti culture. It was so boring. But then after I passed daddy took me shopping.

Back to Blossom.
"What's his name?" It was important to know in order to stay away from him or keep him away from her though neither was really a problem; Blossom hadn't really dated anyone yet and didn't have much interest .Boys were just so immature and dumb. Well, not Thomas she supposed, he seemed pretty smart and was kind of nice. Kind of interested in Jocelyn too if she wasn't wrong and even though she seemed kind of - well just kind of grown up - she hoped maybe Jocelyn and Thomas might like each other. It was always sweet watching how a couple got started and was the closest Blossom came to dating.

Ashley: His name is Jack Gomez and he is my life mate and soul mate. He makes my heart smile.

The two cheer friends giggled as they commented on Jack being shy.

Ashley: Well my Jack may come off as a Shy Grumpy Gus sometimes, but inside he is a sweet guy who gets embarrassed when I give him some attention.

The two cheer friends giggled as they asked about Jack and her dating.

Ashley: Well we used to be childhood friends and neighbors back in elementary school but daddy got a big job that meant we had to move a few times. It broke my heart to loose my Jack, but then it was as if Fate was determined to bring us back together. Daddy's new job allowed us to move next door to Jack again. I was so excited and it was a blessing from the heavens.

Cheer Friend 1: So what was he doing all that time?

Ashley: Well when I talked to his mom who is a sweet angel, and she told me that after we moved away poor Jack struggled to make any friends and was terribly lonely. Since he was lonely he worked out non stop to relieve his stress.

Cheer Friend 2: That explains why he is so buff like the football guys.

Ashley: I know right. So by fate we met in the nearby park when I was practicing for the squad.

Cheer Friend 1: Sounds so romantic. So did he ask you out on the spot?

Ashley: Well not exactly.

Cheer Friend 2: He didn't recognize me.

Cheer Friend 1: Huh?

Ashley: Well back then I was a bit of a tomboy and my hair was a lot shorter. So poor Jack didn't realize I changed a bit.

Cheer Friend 2: So then what?

Ashley: Well we started to talk and it took a little persuasion to convince him of who I was and that I missed him too.

Cheer Friend 1: But you're so pretty.

Ashley: Oh thank you. You are so sweet. Anyhow it seems that my Jack was hurt when I left and didn't know how to deal with his feelings all that time I was gone.

Cheer Friend 2: Seriously?

Ashley: Well I know he struggled with his feelings a lot and I did miss him too. So we had a long talk and he played hard to get for a while, but in the end he agreed we should move forward as a couple.

The girls got all giddy as Ashley told their "Love" story. Ashley of course left out the part where she almost broke his arm to convince him to be her boyfriend and has been controlling his life from the background. In her mind it was just natural to help guide her man to be happiness.

Cheer Friend 1: Wow I hope I can find a guy who likes me that much. All the guys who hit on me just seem to want pervy stuff.

Cheer Friend 2: I know what you mean. Why can't they be romantic?

Ashley: Well my Jack had to be romantic not long ago.

Cheer Friend 1: Really?

Ashley: He surely did. We went to the Golden Arches for a simple date and when we got there that pretty boy named Joey was there hitting on the girl at the counter.

Cheer Friend 2: Oh you mean Joey Donnor. I heard he is a track star jock and a model.

Cheer Friend 1: Yeah but all he talks about is himself.

Ashley: So true girls. Because after Jack and I got in line behind him he turned around and hit on me while Jack and I were holding hands. I mean how rude.

Cheer Friend 2: Totally rude. Then what?

Ashley: He tried to hit Jack in the face.

Cheer Friend 1: Did Jack stop him?

Ashley: (confident) Of course! My Jack caught his punch and crushed his hand. Joey dropped to his knees begging Jack to let go.

Cheer Friend 1: Scary! Then what?

Ashley: Well the manager showed up and kicked Joey out by threatening to call the cops. It was so romantic.

The girls giggled at Ashley's story and talked about what kind of guy they wanted to have as a boyfriend. It would not take long for the gossip rumor mill to spread about Jack defeating Joey at the Golden Arches. Ashley did this on purpose to make her and Jack as a well known couple. This would help keep Jack from cheating on her and keep other girls away from him. of course there were some girls who would push their luck but Ashley had ways of dealing with them too. Jack was hers and hers alone so she would be more than happy to help the other girls find a different guy.

Ashley: So girls if you need finding your special guy as long as it is not my Jack will support you with all my heart.
