Sunday and Elena breakfasts day 2

Elena walk into the cafeteria looking around saw Sunday sitting by herself as usual. she picks up her breakfast and black tea placing it all on her tray and made her way to where Sunday was sitting. "Sunday" she said cheerfully sitting across from her. "how is your morning so far?" she asked pouring milk and sugar into her tea.

Elena walk into the cafeteria looking around saw Sunday sitting by herself as usual. she picks up her breakfast and black tea placing it all on her tray and made her way to where Sunday was sitting. "Sunday," she said cheerfully sitting across from her. "how is your morning so far?" she asked pouring milk and sugar into her tea. Sunday looked up from what she was doing. Some strange food experiment. two muffin tops serving as buns, sausage and bacon in the middle and a silver dollar pancake serving as the middle in some weird breakfast knock off Big Mac. "It's fine." she blinked. "Only just woke up." she said taking a drink of her coffee. "That's a lot of sugar and stuff in your tea," she added. "Black coffee is better."

"Call it a British thing I learned from my mom and I know the feeling about just getting up. as for coffee, I drink that if there is no tea. did you say something about sugar? ya I like it and I guess you do too?" she said looking at the breakfast Sunday was making? "that looks interesting what do you call that?" she asked as she started to put salt and pepper on her scrambled eggs.

"A mistake." She says taking another dry bite of the 'sandwich'. Sitting it down she look at the muffin bottoms, then around the room before saying louder than Elena has heard her speak so far. "Dante!" A guy with black hair and sun bronzed skin turn from where he sat and looking like a human golden retriever. Sunday tossed the bottoms at the guy, he caught them "Thanks" already eating one and spinning back around. "No I don't really like sugary drinks in the morning." She said not breaking stride in the conversation after that odd exchange.

"Dante? Hmm.. feeding the local guys could be dangerous they like that sort of thing you know," she said taking a bite of her eggs. she made a face "I wish they could get better food here your Idea might be not too far off" she said taking a sip of the tea.

"He's harmless." Sunday said, "Besides we went to school together last year and I know him from a few classes. You know he must be itching for a fight." she commented. "Talking to so many peoples girlfriends. The eggs are powdered by the way. You should get the egg sandwich next time, they use real eggs in those."

"Thanks for letting me know about the eggs. So Dante likes to fight? Which side does he fall not that I really care Rich or Scholarship?" Elena asked taking another sip of her tea. "He could come and talk to me I would not care" she said smiling.

Sunday shrugged, "I don't think he likes to. He just think he does." she thought a moment. "I don't actually know where he falls, I never asked. He acts like a Scholarship but...he has a lot of weird music gear which looks pricy but I don't really know anything about that kind of thing." she adds "You'd have to ask him that, though he might talk your ear off."

Elena smiled "I might just do that some time I did see him in music class and your right He does have a lot of equipment. I will have to ask Dante some time." said Elena

Sunday cocked a quizzical eyebrow. "Are you just trying to get Lance to fight someone 'for your honor'?" she asked. "Because I have seen Dante check Lance before. Granted it was on the football field but Lance is meant to be really good right?" Sunday asked. She really didn't know anything about football, so the question wasn't sarcastic. "I'm pretty sure one of those scars on his face is from a fight, don't ask me who won that one I don't know." Sunday pushed up her glasses. "But go for it."

"I will talk to who I want there is no one in this school that can tell me who I can or can't talk to." Elena said calmly. "they would regret trying to control me that way." she said with a little laugh.

Pausing Sunday looked at Elena. "I wasn't suggesting anyone could, I was merely pointing out that he's a teen boy with raging hormones, to much testosterone and is either overcompensating because he enjoys the locker room buddy time to much and that scares him or he's smuggling a baby carrot and wishes for an eggplant." Sunday let out a little snort at her own joke. Likely the first laugh Elena heard slip from Sunday.

Elena let out a quiet laugh. "that is true of most boys at this time in their life." she said spreading jelly on her English muffin. "Most guys I have met have three things on their minds. This is not in any real order. Sex, sports, cars and how to get more of it" she said with a laugh.

"Must be weird to only be able to think of three things." Sunday said thinking about it. "Yeah it'd be boring." Was the conclusion she came too.

"I could be wrong but my Mother said the same thing to me before coming here to this school. Now I believe her, and my father said if a boy tried anything he would rip his arms off. But that's a dad for you. I think the nerd boys think on more things but never really asked one yet." She said thinking.

"Unless you want them going on for hours about a card game or Japanese cartoon I wouldn't bother. You can tell them over and over you don't care but they keep going saying how it gets good just listen.?" She says "you are not missing out." Sunday adds. "Unless you like that kind of thing I guess."

"what about music thank they would talk on that?' she asked.

Sunday shrugged, "They might, Dante would but he knows when to shut up." she added, "the 'nerds' however they might talk about weird stuff you've never heard of."

"you are right, I can see that. this Dante seems like a nice guy." said Elena. then started to eat her English muffin. "I will have to look into talking to a nerd" she stated.

Sunday just looked at her for a moment. "Just be careful." she said, "Like I said before I know you can't be controlled but guys like Lance think you can, and some of the nerds get it bad enough without adding extra jealousy on top of it."

She let out a little laugh at the Lance comment. "I know and I will put some boundaries in place. The last guy that tried something I did not like I dislocated his shoulder. Most people underestimate me but I have been doing Judo and Jujitsu most of my life. The only one other than you now that knows is JD he is an X of mine and let's just say we are on par with one other. That is why I broke up Lance and Johnny... I mean JD. Ya Lance would have got a hit in. But I am afraid that would have been it. JD would have taken him down fast. Things would have got out of hand fast. I don't really want to fight with JD either." she said quietly. then taking a sip of her tea. Oh if you want some self defense lessons I would be happy to show or teach you. Give those boys with busy hands something else to deal with." she said with a joking laugh.

Sunday shrugged. "I don't really get bothered." she said. "And I know how to defend myself, well enough. My father is a cop and made me take the lessons." she said. "Don't plan on ever using it but I know enough." she added, "You may know more but oh well."

"No, that's good, cool your dad was a Police officer. My dad was in the Navy he was is retired Officer and Admiral he started in Intelligence and counter Intell with special operations and then went to work at SOCOM that's how I meet JD and his family his dad and my dad worked together on and off for years" she said then sipped more tea.

"Well it was cool till he quit." Sunday said, "When the people who are meant to protect are just as violent as the criminals or more so get away with it and the whistleblowers are the ones who get punished not much reason to stay." She shrugs. "Not sure what's next for him he was a stay at
Elena thought about it. Was not sure what to say "don't be too hard on him. it's a hard life I think. Some can handle it some can not others burn out. It's not an easy life." replied.

Sunday looked puzzled. "I wasn't I am glad he quit. It was eating him up inside." she told Elena. "He was happier at home." she said. "But we were fine. The bakery made enough." she commented,

Elena's face lit up "A bakery, that's nice I wish we had one here to make fresh stuff. I miss Europe and the little corner bakeries and coffee shops use to stop by one every morning be for school."

Sunday nodded, "My other dad makes really good cupcakes. They sold those the most, but made most of the money with wedding cakes." Sunday explained. "He also used this stuff that made fancy shapes, like those cakes on TV. Like sugar playdoh." she said, not sure what it was called. "Those were to pretty to eat, I just like the frosting ones."

"sounds so good I could almost pitcher it and smell it. said Elena.

she looked up at the clock "Dam time is flying. I do like having these talks you are a good person. you are fun in your own way." she said then ate the last of her English muffin. "So what are you up to later?" asked Elena.

"Today?" Sunday asked. "Classes, homework then dinner and sleep shortly after." she said, half in that way of thinking it might be the wrong answer as she said it.

Elena looked at Sunday inquisitively " yyyaaa..... well, I think we need to work on that and add a thing called fun. I know all that is important but, fun is too. After all, we are all teens here. I got to get going talking about a fun sucker, Class. Anyways I will see you later on? Elena said standing up from the table. "Have a good day Sunday" she said with a smile.

"Sure. It's not a big school." Sunday said. "Have a good day. Don't get any boys beat up." She said, but it sounded less like a joke than she meant.

Elena gave an evil laugh as she walked away.
