A Little Diversion

“So, are you on the track team?” Jonathan herd someone say. Justin was standing in front of him as he came out of his thinking of old times. “Hay Justin, I am sure I did. Third fastest but not my best. Too many distractions on the field. The cheer here looks hot.” Replied Jonathan. He took a drink from his Gatorade bottle. “what are you up too?” Jonathan asks turning the music off on his phone. Jonathan did not know Justin well. but that was that way for most of the people at school. Jonathan knew Justin was good with the girls so knowing him could be good. Thomas his roommate was the only one he knew well enough to know were he was from. What little they talked.

Justin smirked at the cocky jock. Of course Jon was a lot easier to talk to than Lance, Joey or Charlie.

Justin: I know what you mean. I was just talking a walk and admiring the scene myself.

Justin looked at the cheerleaders again and noticed there were some male cheerleaders in the Varsity and JV groups. Some of them even met Justin's standards as he eyed them up like candy. Justin was especially sizing up Huntley Ritter who was a 2nd year and in the JV squad. Of course to everyone else it looked like he was looking at the girls. Since he gave off the vibe as a ladies man, no one knew abut his life preferences except Jack. Since Jack was his roommate and somewhat trustworthy he found he was able to confide in him. However when it came to fashion, Justin was very picky and when it came to trust he was even pickier. However it didn't hurt to be courteous to everyone to avoid trouble or misunderstandings like Jack seemed to be having in his life.

Justin: If you're worried about being new to the scene, don't sweat it. All the 1st years here are new as well. Since its a prep school, it would be rare for any of us to know anyone here. Some might find it difficult to start over making friends, but other may find it easier to escape their embarrassing past.

Justin then saw Ashley leaving Jack and heading to where the other cheerleaders were. This meant it was okay to head back and cheer up the grouchy Jack. By the looks of his expression Ashley teased him a bit to much.

Justin: Looks like it safe for me to head back now. I had to give my roomy some alone time with his girl. You know how it is. Anyhow don't be a stranger man.

Justin then slowly made his way back to where Jack was. Along the way he stopped to socialize with a few other students. He was very popular with the girls as always, and he didn't mind since they had a lot in common. Eventually he sat next to Jack and watched the game quietly.
