Fighting The Enemy (Part 2)

JP with Lasersexpanther, mdman and Cindy

Cronk swayed to each side as the other Orc attempted to get him off his back. However, Cronk held tight and came down on both feet.

Using his strong legs, Cronk lifted the orc up off the ground, swinging him up and over himself as Cronk lurched backwards, arching his back. The suplex caused the orc’s shoulders and the back of his head to come down hard against the paved alleyway.

Cronk quickly got back to his feet, hoping the orc remained down. Cronk took in the others, looking upward. Cronk needed to protect the Masked One. Maybe she was out of ammunition.

Sasha heard the men approaching and held her breath. She was sure she'd pulled the sheet completely up off the edge of the roof but she couldn't be sure without turning to check, which would defeat the point of trying to hide in the first place. When she heard them on the outer side of the warehouse, where she knew they couldn't see her regardless of how well she was hidden. Making slow deliberate movements she pulled her small revolver free, knowing if she had to fight she'd need something quick.

The two men circled the building and looked up again, but not being able to see Sasha, they couldn't figure out where they shots had come from. They didn't have an easy way to scale the building so they decided to go after another target. Both took out their guns and headed for Cronk. Elizabeth saw this and shot the two men quickly in succession, in there knees causing them to go to the ground.

The Orc that Cronk had downed was groaning but didn't seem to be able to stand.

Elizabeth went over towards the man in the mask. She noticed he probably couldn't stand with the wound to his leg but had done enough healing to not pass out from the pain, so he was a mage.

If he wasn't under the sticky web, she might have removed his mask out of curiosity but that would be too difficult at the moment. Instead Elizabeth tried to keep an eye out for dangers while trying to figure out why he seemed so familiar.
Elizabeth was about to turn away from him until she heard him say. "Lizzy, please, help me."

The shear shock of that voice, that name, only one person ever called her Lizzy. It distracted her enough that she didn't see the metal fence post flying at her head or the missing mage hurling it towards her before fleeing.

Elizabeth felt the hit, then fell to the ground unconscious.

Marcil had heard the fighting and watched in case he needed to get help, when he saw Elizabeth go down but that the fight was over, he went to Cronk and said he was going to get help.

However when he went back to the cab, the engine was blown. He was certain someone had damaged it on purpose. Time was essential, he got a cab and headed to get help.

“Thanks, Lady Boss!” Cronk was able to verbalize before the metal post struck her. He wasn’t able to move fast enough. Sometimes, his size was a curse.

Cronk knelt beside Lady Elizabeth. He gently cradled her in his arms. He felt the anger surge through him that someone had hurt her. Thankfully, she was alive.

Cronk turned angry eyes toward the Masked Man. Although it didn’t appear the post came from this man, Cronk held him responsible.

“You hurt Lady Boss,” Cronk hurled at him. “Now Cronk hurt you!”

Seeing Cronk heaving with rage and balling his fist tight enough he was white knuckling. "Merde." she clinched her teeth and slid off the roof, letting out a uncharacteristically feminine yelp of pain as she landed and her feeling the shock run through her ribs, but she didn't focus on it long and was bounding over before Cronk could slam his hammer like fists into the man. "No..no...!" Sasha said quickly putting her arm on Cronk's elbow. "Hey. Hey." she said making eye contact. "We need him alive." she said, before turning to the masked man and kneeling so he could see the coldness in her eyes. "He's got to answer some questions first."

"I will never answer your questions." the masked man spat.

"Good..." Sasha said, "Hard way it is." she said pistol whipping him into unconsciousness.
