SciWorld 2020 Style. Thank you.

What a fantastic celebration SciWorld 2020 was! It was outstanding from start to finish with excellent discussions and really, really fun trivia games. We’re all obviously in a situation wholly unfamiliar to us: the novel coronavirus pandemic and everything that it affects. However, SciWorld helped us break through that barrier and connect with each other just like we always have.

I’d like to personally thank everyone who had a part in making SciWorld 2020 a success–everyone from chair Joshua Hina and his leadership team at TNU Project to the event hosts to anyone who had a role behind the scenes, be it IT support, graphics design, advertising, simply inviting a friend, or something else I’m not thinking of.  You guys rocked it!  Finally, I’d also like to thank everyone who attended and participated.  Without you bringing your energy & ideas, there simply would be no SciWorld.

Joshua Hina is awarded the OWCH

Joshua Hina is hereby awarded the Ongoing Worlds Community Honor (OWCH) for service as chair of the 2020 SciWorld Online Convention.  This year’s SciWorld was a complete success in all facets: attendance, content, and energy.  Thanks to Joshua’s superior leadership and organizational talents, his club and the entire community came together to create a once-in-a-lifetime event that SciWorld participants will remember for years to come.  He put together a top-notch schedule and ensured a smooth second-to-none festival from start to finish.  On behalf of the Ongoing Worlds Board of Advisors and role players across the net, thank you, Joshua, for a job well done!

See everyone next year!

Announcing SciWorld 2020: April 18th

With everyone stuck at home simming, why not role play some more? That’s right, join us on April 18th at 12:30 PM EST / 1730 UTC for the 2020 SciWorld Online Convention, which will be hosted by TNU Project and chaired by Josh Hina. You might remember TNU and Josh from last year’s convention, which they co-hosted. They did such a great job, we decided to bring them back.

What a 20th Anniversary SciWorld, Trivia, and More!

What a SciWorld! Unfortunately, I was only able to attend my own event, I’ve but I’ve reviewed the transcripts and it looks like it was a excellent convention! I saw a lot of great ideas exchanged and some really interesting discussions. Most importantly, I saw the best of the simming and role playing community: YOU! In short, the 20th anniversary of SciWorld was everything I hoped it would be and more. We’re off to a superb start for the next 20 years.
