Aboard the Hogue- Sailing towards Sentinel Island

As the first day comes to a close grey clouds start showing in the horizon, covering all the sky. A few lightning bolt falls to the sea, with the thunder resonating sometime after washing over the crew.

Later that evening from the depths below, a dissonant loud noise is heard. You all make your way t0 the top deck, against the rails looking out across the water. A gargantuan shape rises from the sea jumping and falling back down creating great waves and shows itself curiously, wanting to see who is on the surface not far from your ship. Most of you have never seen such a large animal in your life. Some of the sailors call it a 'Baleia'.

It was easily 20 metres long, with smooth black shiny skin and a distinctive shape coming from its very large, block-shaped head, which was easily one-third of the animal's length. It had a blowhole on its back close its head that sent plumes of forward-angled water-spray through the air, as its triangular tail smashed itself with powerful strokes against the waters.
