Staying True to Ones Word

Johnathan thought for a moment as he walked Khunara walked away. His eyes followed her until she had disappeared into the long corridors. Before he really made a choice on what to do, his feet were carrying him down the hall towards where Khun had just vanished. A slow walk broke into a sprint, and suddenly Johnathan was at Finlay's door with Khunara. "I said I would help, and that's what I intend to do. I know you're capable of finding your own way around, but I want to stick to my word." He said, following his words with a soft smile. He knocked a few times on the door, not wanting to barge in if Finlay was getting dressed, and waited for a response.
"Come in."
The voice on the other side of the door was laced with drowsiness. Johnathan turned the knob, broke his gaze from Khunara, and held the door open for the new doctor and the following nurses to enter in.

Lydia straightened her uniform and fixed her messy braid. "He assaulted a woman, with the intent to continue had it not been for her companion attacking him. He then tried to get back to home base without telling anyone what he'd attempted." Lydia started, turning towards her mutant soldiers. "Let this be a lesson. Almost everything we do to keep our people safe, fed, clothed, and taken care of is voluntary. You are not required to work for survival. However, should any one betray our society by harming a fellow mutant in anything outside of defense, you will join the fallen."
The mutant soldiers nodded in agreement, and silently followed when Lydia moved on, leaving the body to rot.
