So long, MegaloDONG.

As they struggled away from the leak, Alex decided he was pretty smegged off. He watched as Gomez clawed at a statue, managing to gain purchase for a few moments before Staines blasted it to pieces using an explosive-launching harpoon, mounted on his forehead. Gomez was sucked back towards the breach until an Aquanaut nosed him away again. They wouldn't be able to stay away for long, Alex estimated they had mere minutes before the whole deck would be free of water. And life. Pugwash laughed maniacally, the deep thunderous noise vibrating the water around him. What a jerk.

"Hey, Fishcakes, what are you compensating for?" Yelled Alex.
"Excuse me?" The shark fixed its spine-to-jelly inducing attention on him. He heard himself pant. "I uh, I said what are you compensating for?" He grabbed onto an ornate bench type article which was still fixed to the floor.
The shark drew close and, picturing their appearance, Alex was put in mind of those creature to human "scale diagrams" you got in nature books. Only... Pugwash was more the size of a whale than a shark. A really big, gnarly, well 'ard, disgustingly evil whale.
Alex had long ago learned of a commonality between the majority of disgustingly evil beings...
"We-ell, you've obviously got issues. Dorsal fin too small, is it? Mummy disowned you for being such an ugly smegger?"
Staines was making desperate No... No... Stop! Signals behind Pugwash's back.
Pugwash roared, almost blasting Alex from his perch.
"And I've been meaning to ask, what do you call that? Sharks aren't s'posed to roar."
Staines put a fin to his forehead. Pugwash launched himself at Alex who kicked away at the last moment causing the shark to clamp his jaws around the bench.
"HA!" Yelled Alex, imagining Pugwash would be jammed for a while. The bench crumbled like a stale Hob Nob. "Ah." Mumbled Alex, realising he wouldn't. He grabbed his Aquanaut companion's fin and yelled "Swim! Back towards the leak." It did as it was told and they flashed past Gomez, Phil and the others towards the deadly hole with Captain Pugwash in hot pursuit. They could see Seymour getting dangerously near the hole, reaching for his legs which were zipping along in front of him.

"Seymour, weed!"
“How dare y- Oh I see!” Seymour ordered his fish to the floor and lifted a huge clump of seaweed from the deck. He finally caught his legs and hooked it around them. “Here fishy fishy, tasty leggies” Pugwash turned and made a beeline for Seymour instead of the legs. He squealed and thrust the seaweed parcel in the monster's direction. Pugwashed snapped at it, meaning to chomp through it like he had the bench, but he wasn't expecting the surprise inside. He shot backwards, juddering for a while on his side before managing to spit the legs out. Alex used the opportunity to boot him in the stomach, propelling him towards the hole. He hit it with a “thunk” and neatly plugged the leak.

Seymour panted and shoved more seaweed in the shark's direction. "Smile, you son of a..."
"... shark!" Yelled Alex, punching the water in victory.

Justin paddled up "So long, MegaloDONG!"
Seymour shot him a frown. Alex prodded him.
"We've already done the snappy movie line, Pancake."
Justin phased out of sight then reappeared. "Yeah whatever. You know, we could have just turned him upside down to induce tonic immobility.”
“WHAT? Why didn't you tell us that earlier?” He shrugged “More fun this way.”
He slapped the shark on the belly and swam off.

Staines whimpered, bewildered and leaderless, and zoomed off to cower inside a mock treasure chest.

Alex turned back to Seymour.
"Hey, nice work Niples."
"Yes, I thought so."
They grinned, basking in the moment of victory.
“Excuse me...” Said Pugwash, far more politely than he had earlier.
The Dwarfers and 'Nauts ignored him and began picking their way through the wrecked city suburbs.
“Okay, what can we use to as a permanent patch? We can't leave him there forever.”
“I dunno, perhaps he deserves it” Phil mumbled.
“You know, I don't think there was too much damage to the city centre.” Smiled Seymour “Perhaps we'll find a decent meal and some good wine before the day is out!”
“We gotta patch the hull properly and fix Justin first.” Grunted Alex, who was as hungry as Seymour and thinking about how nice a hot shower would be about now.

There was an ominous sound of groaning metal from the port wall, and the group turned to look back at Pugwash. He appealed to them with a look of mute horror before e x p l o d i n g from the side of the ship - apparently Justin's slap had been too much pressure for the stressed hull to bear. Water flew from the Dwarf's side where it floated peacefully off into space, as did Pugwash. The crew, clinging onto whatever they could, watched in disbelief as Pugwash was snapped up by the impossibly massive Space Shark they'd navigated around on their way back to the Dwarf.

"Karma..." Gomez whispered.

The hole was now even bigger and water continued to stream from the ship. The Aquanauts flapped in distress.

"WHAT NOW?"
