A Proper Introduction

Jacky, Molly, Jay, Jaxx, and Seymour returned to camp. They came face-to-face with the others.

First everyone looked at Molly. Then they looked at Seymour. Then they looked at Jaxx. Eventually Cass spoke up.

"You lot have been busy, haven't you?" Cass asked.

"Most of it was by accident." Jaxx said.

"So... let's recap." Cass began, clearing her throat. "The giant fish man has become a real boy, Seymour has decided to join us, smeg knows how, Jacky went off alone in a huff and brought back a girlfriend--"

"Hey!" Molly and Jacky yelled at the same time.

"--and the giant hamster brought something torn to bits in front of us back to life. Are we all clear on this?"

"You lot sure seem odd." Molly commented

"And where, pray tell, did you come from?" Cass asked Molly.

"Edinburgh." Molly responded.

"Edinburgh?"

"Born in Edinburgh. Moved out when I was 18, went to-"

"How did you get right here, right now?"

Molly paused in thought.

"I was on a cruise ship. I think there was an emergency of some kind, and I guess I blacked out. Someone must have put me in stasis."

"Is that it?"

"Then something happened and my pod went through a... a wormhole, I guess, and I woke up here with him." Molly pointed to Jacky. "So now that I've answered your questions, what's the deal around here?"

"We're about 3 Million from our original time. We were on a mining ship, but it needs to be emptied out of toxic fumes. We're stuck here, and nothing electric works." Cass commented, bitterly.

"Three million YEARS?!" Molly repeated.

"Yes."

"So you're the rag-tag team of leftover humans and mutants fighting to stay alive?"

"That's an appropriate description."

Molly paused for little while.

"That... is so COOL!" Molly yelled. "Oh smeg, this is exciting! You have to take me with you guys!"

"Not quite the reaction I was expecting... Alright." Cass sighed. "You can come with us, but right now, none of this is all that important." Cass stated with seriousness.

"I'm human! I can feel emotions past primal battle instinct! I feel like a new man-- I am a new man! I mean-" Jaxx cut in.

"Right now, none of this is all that important." Cass repeated.

Jaxx sighed. Turning human was exciting, and no one seemed all that excited. What was it about this crew that passively dismissed all the exciting stuff? He'd show them what it was like to enjoy the human experience.

“C’mon” she tiredly motioned to Phi “Let’s go for a walk and see if we can find any streams or habitable caves miraculously not filled with huge and aggressively territorial creatures”

"Interesting idea WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?" Jacky yelled.

Everyone turned away to see what he was talking about. Jacky hurled his future self's gun off into the waters.

"Whoops, must have been my imagination! Sorry!"

everyone stopped looking at him and continued with business.

"Heh heh... smeg the future." Jacky snickered to himself.
