Wires, wires, and, you guessed it, more smegging wires. (Part 1, Part 2 can wait 'till later.)

"Where the smegging smeg are we going?" Yasmin asked curiously, as Seymour charged speedily ahead (or, at least, as speedily as wheelchairs can go).

He sighed, and quickly stopped, just long enough for her to hardly catch up. "Quite the talker, aren't you Adimar? Lots of questions, no answers."

She looked around hopelessly at the sublime shock of this comment, and noticed one marked HOLOGRAM PROJECTION UNIT. Thumping the faded blue writing with her free hand, she handed Seymour her last remaining bottle of whiskey, and began trying to prise it open half-mindedly.

"Mm," Seymour commented thoughtfully, gradually rotating the bottle in his grasp. "Seventeen years old. Quite a good age for whiskey, I guess."

Yasmin snatched the bottle back wittily, just he was about to try yanking out the cork. "For smeg's sake! Gimme that! It's for me, not for you, smeghead."

"I'll... Be ok." He was now gasping, as if breathing was getting harder and harder. Almost as if his body was slowly shutting down. Unknown to the Doc, that was exactly what was happening, as the tiny machines rebelled against their host.

"Right. That's it. By the power vested in me as a Doctor on board this vessel, Captain Chrysler you are temporarily removed from command pending medical investigations." She turned to the giant hamster "I believe this makes you in charge now Captain Wolf? I need to get him to a medical bay. I believe that Dr Keto's training facility exactly mirrors the actual medical bay? It shouldn't be too far to go, given that Dr Keto selfishly ejected the real medi-bay." She scowled thinking of her old boss. She then scowled at the thought that after 3,000,000 years, he would potentially be beyond decomposed dust. The thought frightened her that all she knew before was gone. All of it. It had seemed distant and not real until she was back here and saw the evolved Lizzard creature.

"Help!" Katrina squeaked as Jay made a moaning sound and sank to the floor.

"Huh?" Yasmin groaned, as she lifted her ear tentatively away from the wall, and immediately replaced it there. "Captain Chrysler? IS that you?"

Seymour rolled his eyes. He was doing quite a lot of that lately. It bugged her.

"Oh, so you can't remember a royal ambassador, but you can remember the captain?"

"Shut up, smeghead!" she hissed, listening hard. "Is anyone there?"

She was answered by a strangely familiar female voice, backed by the captain's unholy groans.

"Yes. Yes, yes, we're down here? Who's there? Seymour?"

Seymour grinned. "Sure are. A hero as always."

The voice cursed. "Great. Dr Jade Black. Who am I talking to here?"

Yasmin shuddered before she answered. "First Technician Adimar."

There was a pause, and another woman began talking.

"Jaxx? What should I do!?"

"Eve, babe, keep calm, we'll get outta this. Pancake doesn't have the guts to dare harm you."

Yasmin peered at the part of the door where she'd been listening, and turned to Seymour.

"Who was that?"

"Dunno." He had opened the whiskey, and the bottle was now only half empty, a fair quantity of which had already been spilt on the floor or down Seymour's front. He certainly wasn't very organised, as of yet.

"Adimar? You still there?" Dr Black asked anxiously, Jay still groaning. Sometimes, he still reminded Yasmin of her little brother. "Where are you?"

"In my bunkroom. I came straight here from stasis."

"You were in stasis still?"

"..."

A sigh, and a short womanly scream as everything went quiet. For a second, Yasmin half-expected that Eve girl to start talking again, but no such luck.

"What happened?" Seymour moaned, going for another gulp of whiskey.

"I don't know," was all she could think to say.

An ominously evil-sounding boom of a voice echoed all around them, shattering the silence.

"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!"
