A Morning Swim

Kaylee had woken up early to get some laps in the ocean. She loved swimming in the ocean and, had to admit, it was one of the reasons she was glad she was in school here. She swam for a while; the girl was a fast swimmer but faster in a pool still she wasn't trying for fast just steady. The water was cold but refreshing and maybe surprisingly not so cold that she needed a wet suit.

She wished there were paragliders to rent here; that was something she had always wanted to try but hadn't gotten the chance, yet. Fortunately, for her her parents and brother were not overprotective, actually, they encouraged her love of trying new things, as long as she was reasonably safe, it was good with them.

When she came out of the ocean, she spotted two people, she hadn't met last night talking. They both looked slightly familiar only because she had seen them around. It didn't exactly look like they were having an in-depth conversation. Her towel had been left close enough to hear a little of their conversation but really it was one word she heard.

Dante nodded. "Rodger that." he said. "If you do want to play chicken I'll be your partner." he told her. "I don't think we can lose." he nudged her with his elbow.

"Oh, chicken's a great game." A still wet, wrapped in a towel, Kaylee said. Of course, she would like that kind of game. "Sorry, I wasn't eavesdropping. I just overheard something about chicken."
