Flags core?

He looked at Jocelyn her blonde hair and hazel eyes her skinny body made her an average girl but still good looking.

Jocelyn noticed when he sat his eyes traced her, from high tops to knee socks, legs and shorts, torso and face, taking her all in. Wondering what he though of the faint black eye. But he was looking at her. He was a strong guy, and pretty good looking. Not many boys looked at her in a way that didn't feel like they were looking through her clothes. Jocelyn had to force down that fluttery feeling in her tummy and that rising heat on the back of her neck and cheeks. He finally spoke again snapping her back.

“you guys want any water chocolate energy bar?” he asks as he unzips his bag.

Jocelyn shook her head, no "No thank you, not really my thing." she said "And I already have a water." she said holding up a small bottle. "I've not been running so I don't really need it." she explained.

“I was thinking we should ask coach about rifle spinning for the football games,” Thomas suggested.

JD started to explain about not having that elective here and what they could suggest and an alternative. Then turned back to Jocelyn. “What do you think?” he asked her.

"Hard pass for me." she said. "I don't plan to do much more than I am forced to. I can't currently anyway. Long story, and no I won't explain." she said in a not mean way but a way that said don't push your luck.
