Shafted.

Phi thought for a moment and a hand vanished into one of her pockets. She brought out an orange lollipop.
"Will this do for now?" she asked, handing it to Seymour.
He looked away nonchalantly, taking the lollipop. "It will suffice."

“Quit the chatter” Davie snapped “We’ve got to move, and we’ve gotta move fast….we’re too exposed here, could get flanked easily…”
“Agreed” Jay nodded. “Come on, there’s a service ladder this way that should take us straight to deck one…”
The group walked for a few minutes along the corridor, following Jay as he led them to a maintenance hatch.
“Gomez..” Jay said “Give me a hand with this will you?”
Gomez nodded and limped over to the hatch, and pulling one of his many tools from his belt forced the twin doors apart enough for Jay to get his fingers in and yank the doors fully apart. Jay looked inside, and tossed in one of Davies glow-sticks, which lit up the tunnel just enough to cast eerie shadows inside. The hatch led into short crawlspace, no longer than ten feet or so, which then opened up into a vertical shaft containing a ladder on the far wall. “Excellent” Jay said “This shaft leads to every deck on the ship, assuming the ladders still intact, it should take us all the way to the drive room.”
“And if it’s not?” Seymour asked
“We’ll deal with that when we get there, one way or another we’ll be closer to Deck One than we are now…”
Davie passed a glowstick around to everyone, Phi stopping to pull a handkerchief from her pocket before taking the stick. Jay led the way, snapping his stick, and attaching it to his rifles shoulder strap, where it dangled from his chest and bathing his face in a green glow. He stooped and clambered into the crawlspace, with Cass following shortly behind him. Phi was next in line, she stooped (but not so far as to put her knees on the ground) and gazed into the tunnel.
“Absolutley not!” she said “No way!”
“No way what?” Jay shouted back.
“I can’t crawl in there! On my hands and knees? Who knows what’s touched that floor before me?”
“would you rather stay here and get eaten by zombies?”
“I….I…….” Phi froze, torn between death by zombie, or death by germs.
Davie sighed loudly as Phi gibbered at the hatchway, and getting impatient grabbed her, lifting her clean of the ground and shoving her headfirst into the tunnel.
White Wolf climbed in next, and seeing a shocked looking Phi inside the tunnel. “I could always carry you in my cheek pouch if it will help…” he said.
“I’ll…..take my chances with the tunnel…” she replied, her eyes wide and her skin white.
The rest of the group also piled into the tunnel one by one as Jay, Cass and the others began to climb the long dark tunnel.
